We could have stayed weeks at the Library. The rooms are modern and simple, yet sophisticated and extrememly comfortable. The lines are pure, the furniture is made out of beautiful material and the king size bed is a dream to sleep in.
The bathroom was equipped with a jacuzzi tub and walk in Italian shower. The room itself had 24h internet access on imac as well as a flat screen TV with DVD player. IDeal since the whole concept of the hotel is based on being able to borrow movies, books and CDs from the library.
The staff was extremely helpful yet non invasive and made our stay a very relaxing and laid back experience.
The red pool and the beach front bar are great places to relax. The atmosphere of the whole hotel makes you forget you're in busy touristy samui. A real haven.
- secluded resort in the middle of busy noisy samui: calm and relaxe"d feel
- beautiful modern architecture
- friendly yet non invasive staff
- beautiful decor int he bed rooms
- amazing simple bathrooms
- library concept: free books, Dvds; miusic and 24h internet in the room on imac
- food is okay but over priced considering the quality and taste of the products
- the SPA is okay but nothing to write home about.

We stayed 7 days at the Library hotel that we found by chance when walking along chaweng road.
Our stay was great. First and foremost, the location is ideal for the greatest beach and sand, despite the noise and agitation of chaweng beach. The major thing is that the hotel manages to create a cosy and peaceful atmosphere in the hotel within the very lively atmosphere of chaweng beach - so you are in the heart of what is going on without to live with the noise of it.
Then the design is really nice, very simple, white in the room, with a very cool red pool, and confortable bean bag to lie on around the pool.
The staff is also very friendly, especially at the restaurant and around the pool, smiling and welcoming most of the time, and doind their utmost to please you (especially around the pool).
also, the restaurant (the page) is one of the best on ko samui, with exceptional Thai and international food.
Lastly, the large choice of DVDs and Books at the library is bringing additional value to spend nice holidays.
All in all, we had a great time and were very happy to have found this hotel which is, according to us, one of the best 5 star on the island. Mostly designed for Young couples & singles
design of the room, pool, beach
cosy atmosphere for young couples & singles
gym by the sea
very nice restaurant
Imac in the room
- Thai salespeople on the beach are coming too close from the hotel's clients - a sort of line should be set up to prevent clients to be bothered

It's an inspirational place to be if you're someone who enjoys reading and other literary pursuits. The hotel is well designed and very chic - truly deserving to be a "designer hotel". There's a lot of space and greenery, and as a boutique hotel, far more intimate. The Page restaurant is very good. Had breakfast and dinner there and thoroughly enjoyed it. Centrally located and accessible. Service was great!
The clean, modern design - very creative and conceptual. Staff is friendly and warm. Service is good throughout.
A little pricey, and the strict adherence to the 12noon checkout time.
- Hotel Feature Tip : The studio room (on the second floor) offers more privacy.
