lovely hotel but secluded
good room service, good hilltop view, but far from the sea, small swimming pool..need more restaurants

shower pressure can be improved.. breakfast menu was almost the same everyday. need later shuttle back frm chaweng and bophut.
fisherman village at bophut has good sea food average usd 15/head.
no private arrangement with the beach.. you just go there and hang around like unwanted guests..lamai beach is more quiet .
nite food beside chaweng beach is ok but shop around for good deals and fresh catch

Lovely Hotel.

Stayed two night, feel good and comfortable. We book the mantra suite, room is very spacious and the room and living are separated. The room has two TV, one in the bedroom and the other in the living room.
Breakfast are excellent, staff are friendly and polite. Daily in-house programs pre planned for you like yoga, cooking class, gym with good view, movie room. The infinity pool is fantastic, overlook to the ocean the water is very clean.
Will recommed this hotel to my family and friend.

Modern hotel with great service

Our stay was relaxing on the whole as we could watch endless movies free of charge in the bedroom through the PC/TV screen & use internet freely. We also enjoyed swimming in the pool with fantastic views from the hill to the ocean. They had a well-equipped gym with modern equipment. We also watched a few movies in their movie theatre. They provided a shuttle service to Chaweng beach & Fisherman's village but times are limited & not always convenient for us. Private transport to various places is quite expensive but there were 4 of us. We did some sightseeing privately but was cut short because of the afternoon storm. On the whole it was enjoyable.

Fantastic 'honeymoon' retreat for my Mum and I!
Private jacuzzi, breakfast, shuttle to Bo Phut and Chaweng

Had a fantastic time at the Mantra Samui, took my Mum as a treat and a girls' holiday having recently moved to Thailand and would definitely recommend. The breakfast buffet was great, as was having our own jacuzzi which was fantastic for the rainy season as it does sometimes get stormy in the evenings and it's nice to have your own pool to retreat to. We also created our own 'private cinema' by using the movie room and watching a movie which was great. One small downside was that it was far from town and the restaurant is a tad expensive, so you may want to stock up on snacks at Chaweng Beach or make use of the shuttle service to eat out if you can.

This hotel was beautiful. the rooms were big and had everything you needed. Very clean. The pool was beautiful, just not enough pool lounges to go round.
some staff a little unfriendly but on the whole most friendly.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Lots do in Samu, waterfalls, beaches, lots of restaurants, we rode around the island as it is 51kms very pretty.

amazing staff. help you with everything in every way. the hotel is a bit remote but not a problem if you hire a bike. the rooms were fine. nothing too great but pretty decent. i would say that the staff really make a difference. at first we thought we made a mistake booking this place as it was located on a hill but if you drive or hire a bike it should be fine.
Nightlife Tip:
Fisherman's village is a nice place to go for dinner and a few drinks.

Nice seaview from the hotel without the beach

This hotel is located on the high land, away from the main road. It is quite a distance away to walk from the hotel to the main road. The hotel provides shuttle service but at the fix interval. You need at least one way of the taxi services if you planning to go to nearby place each time. Taxi fare is not cheap at Samui Island (eg. fisherman village to hotel is around 300/400 baht, hotel transfer to Lamai is 700 baht). Unless you don't mind dining at the hotel restaurant else it is inconvenience if you are planning to dine at other restaurants.
