It has been nearly ten years since I have come to the Muang Kulay Pan. I love the charme, the calm and the very private location in very busy Chaweng. For me it is the perfect oasis in this loud surrounding. I hope, they do not change too much, and that I keep my good impression!!!

Quiet and a perfect oasis.

They have to do something with the breakfast. It is a little bit boring.

In the chaos of Chaweng beach, this hotel is a laguna of peace and quiet. Start your day with breakfast in one of the zen-like beach huts with great views of the Chaweng bay, accompanied by lounge music. The rooms are very neat, comfortable and also in Japanese style, including Japanese bathrobes for the guests. The inner hotel garden, where the pool is situated completes your feeling of relaxation!

Design hotel located just outside the bussiest part of Chaweng beach. Very original breakfast/dining spaces in Japanese style on the beach.

Staff was very correct, but a bit stiff.

  • Nightlife Tip : To keep the relaxing vibe going during the night, drink a cocktail at the nearby reggae beach bar (just left from the hotel).

This was our first time to Ko Samui. We had no idea what to expect. Our friends booked a room at the hotel next to ours and paid far more per night. In my opinion, we had the nicer hotel. There room was not close to the beach, in fact it was across the street! The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was made fresh, not buffet style. I was a bit shocked at the price of mixed drinks at the bar, however, it seemed to be in line with the other hotels. We bought our own bottle of gin and tonic water and had room service deliver the ice. Since we were so close to the beach we were able to mix in our room and head out. Love it, would stay there again, however, I don't think Ko Samui is on my go again list, too crowded (main street) for my taste. Awesome golf course though!

Rooms are close to the beach and resturants. Staff very helpful and accomodating.

No coffee maker in the room.

  • Restaurant Tip : The hotel restuarant served excellant BBQ of fresh sea food.

A warning, do not sign up for "Full Moon Party" trips if you are above 18 years old. The trips are badly organised and the party is just trashy not cool, wild or sexy.

The restaurant is in the garden just by the sea. Relaxing after the morning excercise and enjoying a simple breakfast in this outdoor restaurant is the ideal vacation.
