Best feature of the hotel was the spacious room swhich are large and well decorated, but thats the only good point! From our arrival we were greeted with poor service, staff that needed training and supervison. Check In was a poor experiece, taking a long time and was disorgnaised. Service in the restaurant was poor and also service around the pool was non exsistent We had booked to stay for 15 nights but chcked out early after only 7 nights, before checking out we arranged to see the General Manager, despite making an appintment with him when we arrived at reception to discuss our complaints he tried to avoid the meeting by sending a receptionist to talk with us. After demanding to see the GM he eventually arrived 20 minutes after the agreed appointment time. We listed our complaints to him, he agreed the hotel had problems but there was nothing he could do because he was short of a manager and his restaurant supervisor was on holiday! We told him perhaps he should walk around his hotel to see the many issues including:
1. Staff in the restaurant watching TV and offering poor service.
2. Pool staff unhelpful and rude.
3. 60 sets of sunbeds with only 15 umbrellas so could not get an umbrella
4. Pool had leaves floating on the top and we never saw staff cleaning the pool.
5. Happy Hour - same cocktail on offer for 1 week!
6. Happy hour - be aware the hotel only offers you 30% off your cocktail not 2 for 1!!
7. Building work going on when you use the Spa!
8. Poolside staff will ignore you when you need asistance.
The general manager seemed weak and had a careless attitude, we never even got a proper apology, in fact when checking out we were accused of stealing a laundry bag from our room!!!
If you are used to a 5 staff hotel do not stay here you will be disappointed with the lack of attention to detail and service. Oh and finally carful if you use the hotel transfer service we did and I could hear the brake disc grinding against the wheel all the way to the airport!
Restaurant Tip : Do not eat in the hotel!
