This is one of the places that once you go you will want to go back again and again. The beach side where you can have dinner right on the beach, or massage is so peaceful and beautiful. The front side has lots of little and medium sized shops. The rooms are very large and have a lot of nice little things ... too many to describe but include, window sofa, fruit and flowers, candles brought in each evening. It is hard to imagine a more romantic spot
Beautiful to the little details. Great location. Superior food (both breakfast and dinner). Large and lovely pool with water fall. Large room, mine had a large spa tub and the freeform shower
Not many, the door to the rest room was slotted wood so someone in the main room could see your legs when you sit on the toilet. That might bother some people.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The spa like all hotel spas are more expensive that the free standing ones. But right on the beach are open air massage/spas and there are 2 very nice (better than your normal "foot massages" spas) for very cheap just to the right and across the street as you exit the hotel.
Simply perfect

We stayed in Muang Samui for 10 days and had unforgettable holidays.
For the first day of stay we were upgraded to Royal Suite with a sea view! Located on the top third floor it has outside spa bath and a relaxation spot with the great views. Junior Suite was also great. Same room but with the direct access to the garden (we stayed on the first floor). Room is very big, clean and new. Whenever you request to make up your room, it is done very fast. Staff is very friendly and responsive.
Breakfast is good. For the dinner we rarely went outside: beach restaurant is probably the best on the Chaweng beach and with a reasonable prices. Restaurant located right behind the hotel offers nice selection of Asian cuisine.
Pool is great. It is very clean and big enough, and it has its own small waterfall and bubbled area. See view is great (reserve a line in the morning - it is very popular). However, if you want to swim in the sea, you need to walk 10 minutes to the south of Chaweng beach (unless it gets deep enough). Lots of entertainment on the beach (jetsky/scooters 10 minutes away, sailing, kayaking, volleyball). We did snorkeling on the nearby rife. You can rent a kayak or boat for going there, it is quite cheap.
Spa center in the hotel (Rai Ra Spa) is outstanding. And one should also try massage on the beach.
P.S. We'd been traveling with our 9 months kid. Hotel provided very nice baby cot for him. And it was quiet at night in the room in spite of quite noisy neighboring hotel. He could swim in the sea in front of the hotel (very warm and not deep) and in the swimming pool. In the restaurant, you can get nice feeding chair for your child.
Room, staff performance, garden, pool, beach restaurant.
None found.
- Hotel Feature Tip : You need to make prior reservations in Rai Ra Spa. If you fail to come, they will still charge you. If you come late, your spa time is reduced.

Would recommend for everyone, single, coupled or kids. No need to pay extra for a pool room, I don't think they are worth it.

This is in Chaweng. Chaweng is dirty, black water runs under main street, there is literally no indoor air conditioned restaurants, though Starbucks is an indoor establishment and there are a couple of indoor ice cream parlors. Waited an hour for thre manager who could not explain why they called any room a suite, why they charged by the minute for internet. Reception said I had ten free hours but those must have been the 20 to 30th hours, of my 18 hour stay.

Muang Samui made our 20th anniversary very special with some thoughtful touches!
- Nightlife Tip : No need to leave the beach...everything is there.
