a good hotel is vital for any trip to be memorable and boy does this one hit home. the staff were friendly, helpful and seemed happy to be of service to make your stay a pleasant one. they were even kind enough to give me a early check-in and a late check-out, all foc. the food was really good, although it could do a little better with the variety to make it worth your money. room facilities were top notched, clean and well kept for its visitors, though there was some fault with the jacuzzi functioning. the room and overall service has to be highlight of this hotel; never once did i have to wait more than 5 minutes for something to be delivered to my doorstep, be it a simple wine bottle opener to a replacement unit for my faulty dvd player. the main pool was a little too small for a hotel of this stature, but it was clean nonetheless. location wise, this hotel is located at the fringes of the main town, something which i really appreciate as the beaches are less crowded and polluted and the surroundings a lot more peaceful. it's not too far away from the main town either, a short 10 minutes drive tops to the heart of town. overall, a really good hotel perfect for those who are looking for a more relaxed holiday but near enough to ensure you do not miss out on the local nightlife at the city center.
Travel tip:
Transportation in Koh Samui is extremely expensive if one relies on public transport so I would suggest either renting a vehicle or using the transport shuttles provided by the hotel. The hotel travels back and forth to the main city 4-5 times daily, so you can save some serious money by planning your schedule based on the shuttle schedules. Also, there are several restaurants right outside the hotel that offer great local and international cuisines at an affordable price if you are a little sick of hotel food.

the beach was very nice, like privet no many people its best of chaweng, but i book the room in the 3 floor with pool and they give me another in 1 floor its no so privet, and really no have time to discouss...

The stay was very good the staff were very friendly and attentive. As said before the rooms were large and magnificent and there were some good restaurants in the hotel and close on the street all very reasonable price wise. The only criticism I would have is that food and drink service around the pool was very slow and you had to go to the bar to get served. The food and drink once you were served was excellent and reasonably priced.
Restaurant Tip:
Charlie Chaplins Restauraant accross the road had great food and was incredibly cheap. Only pay between 300 and 400 bart for a cab into the main town. Shopping is OK.

We stayed there for 10 nights with friends. Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Service quite slow as seems to be in Koh Samui in general. Food at hotel good. Rooms were largest I have seen. Friends of ours had a pool villa which was nice but happy with the shared pool as not busy at all probably because the hotel was right on the beach. Clean beach. Free shuttle into town a few times a day. Probably would be better if that went a bit more often. All up a very nice hotel.
Restaurant Tip:
Poppies in Chaweng is very nice for dinner.

i read all the great reviews and was genuinely surprised at how really good the muang samui was. our standard room was enormous, really well maintained and well air conditioned. the hotel has a great pool and it is only about another 100 metres to great beach. lots of areas to sit. food in hotel was good and there was plenty of little restaurants just outside the hotel for a bit of variety. there is an official money changer and 7/11 store directly opposite the hotel. best of all the hotel has a shuttle into its sister hotel and back several times a day - about a 10 min trip so if you want to kick your heels up its easy. we loved how quiet the town is but since the big city is only a short shuttle ride away the quietness shouldn't be a problem. staff were really efficient and helpful. if you are considering the muang take the chance you will not be disappointed. i know people like different things but staff service at pool is not available and i loved not having someone ask me every 5 mins if i wanted anything.
Nightlife Tip:
Shuttle service to main town takes about 10 mins.

My husband and I have been staied in the hotel for six nights. Breakfast was great there, enjoy Jacuzzi every nights, simming pool is a bit small, the Seafood BBQ Party on Thursday is great. We have a wonderful time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Hotel provides free care to the market at 10.30am, 2pm and 6pm.

we stayed in the pool Suite. The suite was great - it included a big bedroom, wide outside area with big pool and a big modern high quality jacuzzi in the bathroom. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was nice (every morning great sea view :) ) the location was great as it is not too far yet not too close to the busy city of cheweng, but there are also some nice restaurants around the hotel and at the beach.
