Renting scooters is the most convenient if you want to explore around the island.

Decent, but there are better hotels for that money

You can probably get better hotels with the same amount of money.

I inquired before booking whether our group of 6 would be able to consume alcohol as we were NOT looking for a wellness holiday and I was told "yes". Well - there was indeed LIMITED beer and pre-mixed "cruisers" available - but not the cocktails by the pool we envisaged as part of our tropical holiday. This should have been made clearer when we made it clear what type of holiday we wanted. To their credit, they DID send out to a nearby restaurant to facilitate this but this was not always available. Travel into the entertainment and shopping areas took a LONG time and was very expensive, especially if you had to do it a couple of times each day. The local beach was not very pleasant so even to go to a nice beach you had to travel. Really only suitable for people who are happy to stay in the one place and totally switch off for a few days.

Restaurant Tip : Wonderful beachfront seafood restaurant across the road about 100 metres away.
