Pool area was lovely with plenty of sunbeds available and constant service. The setting was gorgeous and like having your own private beach however a little walk around the corner revealed a much nicer beach to enjoy. Breakfast was of a good variety and plentiful. Courtesy collection bus was also a nice touch.

Reception is literally a mosquito breeding ground. No visual preventions so every time you risked passing through without repelent you would inevitably be eaten alive! Air conditioning in the room was quite weak.

Stayed at the Nora Beach for 10 days in June 2009. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and received nothing but courtesy from the staff. Good location, away from the noise of Chaweng but just within walking distance and even better was the bus in and out of town- free at certain times of the day, 50 bht per person to go in at the peak times (evenings). Improvements could be made in both the reception area- lots of mosquitos and with the air conditioning in the rooms. Granted we were there in the hot season but we had to leave it on permanently to even notice it. Really good eateries within walking distance of the hotel at a much more reasonable price than the hotel but for snacks and drinks you cannot fault the Nora Beach. I would say that the photos on the website are slightly old as the room we stayed in seemed dated.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Anthong National Marine Park is definitely worth a visit (via sppedboat) and can be booked both through the hotel or for 200 bht less in Chaweng. We also hired a jeep to tour the Island and visited Nikki Beach on the West Coast which was a gorgeous alternative to being at the same pool every day.

Friendly Staff, Beautiful location - very quite & private beach

Room could have used a little freshen up - coat of paint

Absolute lovely hotel. Friendly staff, great location. We stayed here for 4 nights in early June in an ocean front pool villa. Very highly recommended. It was our wedding anniversary and my husband, with the help of staff, surprised me with a beautiful cake and bunch of roses. The staff will go out of their way to ensure you have the best time possible.

Shopping Tip : Very close to the main shopping strip, with a bus drop off and pick up provided by the hotel at no cost at certain times of the day.

Traditional Thai style. Magnificent staff. Convenient to Chaweng, and tours.

Walking up the big hill to my villa after breakfast.

This was my 2nd visit to Nora Beach in 6 months. My daughter was married there, in the most professionally stage managed wedding that I have ever attended. It is an idyllic spot to get away from the world, venturing out only to undertake shopping raids on the shops and market stalls of Chaweng Beach, or, to go ride an elephant or ATV.

Restaurant Tip : Beach side at NoraBuri next door for an extra special private dinner date with your loved one is a must.

Very flash, free internet, plenty of free shuttle into town. Good breakfast and different themes evert night.

steep climb, average beach with rocks everywhere and sea weed. Breakfast finishes at 1030 (but I guess that's standard)

This resort is like the club med, the staff is here to entertain you with different themes every night and plenty of fun to have, a steep climb to the entrance but that will do you good. The pool has a bar you can buy drinks from and the rooms are decent size. This hotel is a bit more upmarket and therefore the price follows. DO NOT ORDER A PIZZA (even if you ahd thai for the last 2 month)

Hotel Feature Tip : free internet cheap scooter for rent down the road

Excellent Hotel, Clean, Polite Staff, Excellent Pool and Beach Location.

Bedroom Pillows very hard!! :o) Pool can get overcrowded

I would recommended this hotel to both couples and families. The hotel caters for all and for me was ideally located. Just far enough out of Chaweng hustle and bustle, but close enough to walk or catch a cab, (if your lazy!). Great Pool, with Jacuzzi and beautiful private beach. We have been to Samui every yeah since 1999 and i can say that this is one of the best

Hotel Feature Tip : Get to the Pool early if your a sun worshiper

- Good buffet breakfast - Staff are friendly

- Far away from Chaweng Beach (10 min car; 45min walk) - The hotel is little bit old

The hotel is far away from Chaweng Beach (10 min car or 45 min walk) and not many restaurants nearby. And the hotel is little bit old. However, the buffet breakfast is good. There are complimentary shuttle bus between Chaweng Beach and hotel, but only 3-4 times/day

Beautiful Beach, good food, nice pool, and excellent staff and service.

A bit far from centre, 15/20min walk. Or 200bhat each way in taxi, £8 a night. Spa very expensive compared to others down the rd, Friends. I would have used it if it wasn't double the price or more than others.

Would definately recomend the Nora beach. But would hire a moped next time. Very nice hotel, and excellent service.

Restaurant Tip : Islander Pub, had excellent food at a good price. Don't pay more than 300bhat from hotel

friendly and relax.

location is inconvenient.

We received warm welcome when we arrived. The staff were very friendly and nice, told everything in details and had been very helpful. We stayed at 3rd floor of superior room which was comfortable and clean. The atmosphere and environment were relax and we love there, especially the swimming pool. Even we had rent a car for sight seeing everyday, but we finally decided to spent one whole day in the hotel around the swimming pool since it was too nice for relaxation.

Restaurant Tip : Don't miss the breakfast.

Each villa is a bit private from the others. The beach is nice and very quiet, not much to do but lay by the pool. Spa was very nice - outdoor massages. Good breakfast.

The town was a bit away, even though there was a shuttle. Service was unpredictable. Never bad, but sometimes very nice and then luke warm.

We really enjoyed out stay at the Nora Beach Resort. We were two single travelors and of course there were lots of couples staying here and all over Samui so be prepared for going into town for any activities. Villas were fantastic with good amenities. And staff was helpful when needed.

Great outdoor paths and landscaping. Convenient Location. Nice Rooms. Friendly and helpful staff.

Rooms could use updating. More activities in the hotel.

Very close to the airport yet in a quiet and secluded area. Great beach with nice views. About 10 mins away from Chewang. Overall it's a great retreat and the staff were very prompt and helpful.

Travel tip : Plenty of great restaurants in Chewang.

spacious rooms beautiful pool and gardens situated on nice beach

some difficulty communicating with staff (seemed to be lots of trainee staff memebers when we stayed)- although once they understood what we needed they were very helpful

we stayed in a pool villa as well as a smaller villa. both were great rooms with very spacious bathrooms. Privacy of the pool villa was good. the main pool was beautiful and the resort is on a nice beach. good breakfast included. only thing that we disliked was that the resort was not within walking distance from the main shops and restaurants of Chaweng beach. i would definately recommend this resort and plan to go back soon.

We were upgraded to Nora villa upon arrival, which was a pleasant welcome. The staff never hesitated on your requests such as ironing boards or booking shuttle buses etc. Room was always tidy when we returned to our villa. Upon check-out, we had a really early flight home but despite this we had been given a breakfast pack which was very thoughtful of them. Spa was particularly nice as we had taken advantage of the special offer (2.5 hours of steam, exfoliate, massage and facial) for about £40. Bargain. I regret having only had this once!

We have had to rely heavily on the complimentary shuttle buses to get into town (Chaweng centre) as this is not walkable distance from the hotel. Meals were expensive so we had spent most of our evenings eating outside of the hotel. Breakfast that was included each morning was only mediocre, which was a shame, really.\n

My friend and I had just spent 5 days at Nora beach hotel this week. Despite the terrible weather that had gone on throughout our trip, the staff at Nora had made every effort to ensure our stay was comfortable. We were upgraded to Nora villa upon check-in, and any luggage were carried into the villa. Breakfast each morning by the beach was pleasant. We also tried the spa promotional package where we had a bliss 2.5 hours of steam, exfoliation, massage and facial for a very reasonable price. Definitely recommended.\n

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There are these small buses that runs the circular road on the entire island, which takes around 40mins to run the whole circuit, and costs about 50 baht from Chaweng to Bophut (Fisherman's village).

Breakfast is great, very delicious, wonderfully decorated rooms, very friendly staff, nice garden

Only two computers for internet for all guests, slow connection, hotel could offer free rides from the airport as the airport is very close

We chose Nora Beach Hotel for the 4th time and would still go there again. It is a beautiful hotel and has a good location as it is at the northern end of Chaweng Beach where it is more quiet, but you still have enough "action" if you want to go out for dinner or go shopping. The villas are nicer than the superior rooms as they are bigger and have a wonderful bathroom with a panorama window to the little private garden. The garden also has a private outside shower.

Beach is very nice. Also swimming pool and bar service. They provide local newspaper in english. Staff is very friendly and solve all the problems if you are patient in talking english. Excelent breakfast.

I found one crockroach in the bedroom. Restaurant food is not good. Spa very expensive. They could provide free shuttle service from the airport as it is only 5 min. from there. They charge the same as taxis to a roundtrip in the island. Only 1 or 2 watersoports available.

The weather wasn't that nice. It has rained all days but we were able to enjoy swimming pool and the nice beach before and after it. Walking through the sea shore, I found out that the hotel throught akk its liquid waste on the sea. In a few years the sea will be contaminated as there are 2 resorts under construction in the same beach.
