Friendly Staff, excellent room ( garden villa )
good buffet breakfast at edge of beach.
Evening meal prices much higher than local restaurants, go to fisherman's village, 10 min walk.
I'd recommend this hotel as a compromise between the busier resorts on Koh Samui and the isolated bays also available. Quiet enough but a short walk to the village and a 300 bat taxi ride to a busier tourist/shopping favored by our UK neighbors.
I'd recommend also a Catamaran day's sailing among the nearby islands to include fishing, snorkeling. to justify the cost, you would need 4 to 6 passengers. The crewman supplies lunch.

Very neat, and exquisite. Awesome shampoo, body wash and lotions. Looks like they're getting them from the 'Peace Spa' across the road. Huge garden/forest feeling and well maintained.
We were not allowed to take those nice soaps with, as is custom when visiting other hotels.
This was our last stay on our trip through Thailand. We were very pleased and impressed. It was a much bigger resort than what we anticipated.
It's located just too far from the main street, so renting a scooter is a must. It's got a very nice restaurant, and awesome view and atmosphere.
Hotel Feature Tip : Rent a scooter from the resort for 200B

Sea view from restaurant at breakfast.
Bungalow lack of privacy, overpriced, cocky bar staff.
After reading the reviews I was expecting this place to be some kind of idyllic hideaway. Luckily I hedged my bets and only booked for 3 nights and I'm so glad I didn't book for the whole holiday.
First impression was very poor, my heart sank. Tired looking, tacky entrance, and then a real trek to my bungalow around a maze of pathways.
Bungalows very close to each other and windows on all sides so I had to close all curtains as I don't like strangers seeing me sleeping, bathing or taking a pee funnily enough!
Headed straight for the bar to cheer myself up, to be greeted by cocky (as opposed to friendly, entertaining or hospitable) very young male bar staff who don't know how to serve a drink nicely.
Was now really depressed so headed for Fisherman's Village which is a longish walk along the beach or much longer by road.
Arriving back at the Peace Resort after your first night out.. and try finding your bungalow in the maze of pathways with no lighting to show the numbering signs!
Frankly I was really pleased to leave, there are far better places to stay for this money. I know Thailand very well and this place is extremely ordinary indeed.
Nightlife Tip : Head to Chaweng unless you are with a partner and in love!

well designed rooms, lovely stretch of beach, totally tranquil and peaceful
only had one night in this place, so not very long to judge! But it is really lush and everything is so well thought through and designed. We had a garden room and it was gorgeous - nice big stone bath and lots of movable partitions so you could adapt the space. Just make sure you keep the bedroom closed or else the mozzies will get in!! Really nice quiet part of the beach and plenty of longers belonging to the hotel. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but theres also lots of choice within walking distance to both right and left of the beach. Total relaxation!

Fantastic accomodation, friendly staff, great pool and fab beach location
We stayed at Peace Resort for 2 nights in Sept 09. Accomodation was of an excellent standard in a great location (approx. 15 mins walk to Fishermans Village) with friendly staff and great food. Rooms were well equipped, pool was gorgeous and beach very clean and great for swimming. Spa treatments excellent too. Would recommend to anyone looking for a luxury stay in Koh Samui.
Restaurant Tip : Walk to Fishermans Village and go to 'Shades' for good Thai food or 'The Shack' for an excellent steak. The 'Karma Sultra' bar is great for cocktails.

Good location, nice piece of beach and near the Fishermans Village
Didn't have hot water all the time
We stayed for 6 nights in July 2009 in a Superior Garden Villa. The room was quite spacious and comfortable. The shower wasn't very powerful and availability of hot water was hit and miss. Breakfast was buffet style and about average. The swimming pool was decent enough but could be bigger for a resort of this size. The beach area was just about big enough and it's less than 10 minutes along the beach to the Fishermans Village where there's a good variety of places to eat.
We had to change our plans and decided to stay in Samui for another four nights. We asked the hotel to match the rate we had originally got, but they wouldn't - so we moved to 100 yards up the road to another resort.

Staff friendly and helpful. High standards of maintenance, clean.
Right on the beach which is quiet.
Restaurant OK and every evening there is a different theme
WiFi did not work and is fairly expensive.
Bophut is close to the airport but unlike Chawaeng, it is much quieter. The beach at Peace resort slopes quite fast, ideal for swimming, but maybe not for toddlers. Areas of the shallow water are kept clear from motor boats, so it's safe. The swimming pool is of adequate size and although there were many northern Europeans from a recently reunited country, none of them put their towels on the loungers at 7.00 in the morning! Great! A great place for a quiet holiday.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The catamaran trip to Ko Tao is not the best way to go snorkelling. Ours was 1 hour late starting and so 1 hour less in the water and then was 45 minutes late leaving while we all sat in a cafe on Ko Nangyuan. In a day starting at 7.0o am and returning at 6.00 pm we got about1 hour in the water. There must be better ways.

A lovely big stone bathtub in our room.
DVDs available for free hire for in your room.
You cannot leave your air conditioning on in the room while you are out meaning that the room is very hot when you return and the air conditioing did not do a good job of cooling the room down so it was very hot.
The pool is very crowded.
Villa and room and very small.
We booked a villa and ended up swaping it for a deluxe room as the air conditioning in the villa was not very effective at cooling the room down. We did not spend much time at the poolside because it was very busy. We had lunch at the restaurant but did not really enjoy the food we had. On the plus side, the resort stocked a good range of DVDs and the deluxe room had a fantastically sized stone bath. It was also very close to Fisherman's Village which was handy for eating out at night and doing some shopping. Overall, this was a busy resort and for us, lacked the personal touch we received at other hotels on the island.

Great pool, nice beach, excellent service, beautiful resort, maintained wonderfully....
water heater need to improve
Definately stay here, it's awesome. We had the superior garden villa which was lovely. The staff were excellent. The pool is nice and the resort sits right on the beach. We had the meal by candle light at night with big pillow on the beach. The resort provides fresh beach towels daily and a beach bag! We rent a van with driver for sightseeing on 1st day and hired a motorbike from the resort for rest of the day. We also asked hotel staff to arrange a trip to Angthong National Marine Park by private speed boat.
Please try this resort.

Breakfast is little disappointed
It was quite resort. Peace resort is best resort in Bo phut area. I've been other areas in Samui but Bo Phut is best as personal opinion. When you check in they will give 3 or 4 coupons. I forget to use 15% discount coupons at restaurant. It suppose to be remind from them. I relised that I didn't use coupons... haha
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You can hire motobike to go around other areas. you can enjoy Samui with low budget.

Good location, direct at the beach. Quiet & peaceful. Good service...friendly & helpful staffs. Great room. Good amenities & facilities.
We stayed at the beachfront villa, it was great...spacious room & bath. Quiet & peaceful. Had massage everyday since massage sala was just in front of our villa. My girls enjoyed themselves playing at the beach n the playground. The beach was lovely although the water was not clear. We had one problem during our third day, the bath tub was leaking middle of the night due to blockage. We were offered to another room cos they can only rectify it fully the next day but we didn't change the room cos it's such a hassle since my girls were sleeping. They did something to stop the leak for the night and rectified it the next morning.
We rented a car during our stay to travel around the island, it's cheaper than taking a taxi every time going out.
Overall, we are very happy with our stay there and will absolutely come back again.

easy access to Fisherman Village with a number of good restaurants and shops.
Restaurant Tip : King Fisher 400 meter walk from the hotel, very good food english speaking staff.

Rooms were very nice and spacious
Staff was very friendly and helpful
Groceries available around the hotel
Mosquitoes in the room (need to ask the reception desk for a solution which was provided right away)
Breakfast (It was ok, you would just expect more from a hotel like that)
Peace Resort is a safe choice. The place is nice and not too loudy - it's a great choice between those big beaches like Chaweng or Lamai which are crowded and loud. There is enough shopping around to do and nice little places to eat thai.
The pool is nice and the access to the beach very easy. The staff is helpful and very nice as well.
The breakfast isn't that great in the morning, however, we went there for dinner and it was really good! So try to eat at the restaurant at the beach sitting on those big pillows!

Great layout, staff, excellent, room small, but enough.
Location is definitely quiet, and a long ways from any action.
Loved the Peace Resort. Highly recommend for couples wanting to relax, and be pampered. Food was tops, even room service was great. Pool is Huge, and beach was enough but may disappoint some world travelers. Highly recommend for really little kids, but bigger kids will be bored. We went out to eat a lot our week there, but the highlight was dinner on the beach twice. Just bring some mosquito repellent.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : definitely take excursions for snorkeling and full moon parties, as well as get around the island, there are good restaurants away from hotel.
