Location on the beach, close to the airport. Outstanding service. Excellent restaurant. Steep walk to the beach. Hotel beach is quite rocky. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this resort, and we were not disappointed. The service here is excellent, especially the golf cart shuttle service to save you the steep walk to some of the rooms. Ocean views from the rooms, pool and restaurant are spectacular. Shuttle service into town was also a great option. We look forward to staying here again.
Restaurant Tip : Walk down the beach at night and have dinner on the sand at one of the seafood restaurants.

This was our second visit to Samudra and we were not disappointed. The rooms, pools and grounds are beautiful and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. There is a free shuttle service into town during the day at various times, but we preferred to stay by the beautiful pool!
Restaurant Tip : Make sure to walk down Choengmon for dinner on the beach - especially the Crystal restaurant's baked pineapple rice with chicken or shrimp for approx $3 USD!

Very nice, nice staff, nice view, nice room. Less information on hotel location. Not clear enough. Far away from town. I love this hotel very much. The staff upgraded our room to Deluxe room, which is very roomy, and have a swimming pool nearby. Breakfast have lots of choices. Enough food supply. Staff very police. Just the hotel signboard outside is too small. We couldn't see it clearly. But hotel have a private beach, which is quiet and relaxing. Big swimming pool, nice view too. We hope to stay longer next time for our next visit. Will stay here again.

I have stayed here many times. The rooms are lovely, the view is spectacular, the private beach is so pretty and the food and facilities really make this a 5 star location. I love the way you can ask the chef to make your own omlette at breakfast and then go sit overlooking the sea to eat it . Very well eqipped gym in a lovely air con room and the staff are both friendly, courteous and helpful on the rare occasion that you need something

we highly recommend this hotel, we would stay there again ,loved the peace and tranquility.loved the beach, except the walk back up the steep steps to the lobby area were we got the golf caddy to our room,loved the massages along the beach.even though the steps were steep we walked down to the beach every morning after breakfast, then back up in the afternoon, then back down again in the evening when we went down to the crystal restaurant for our dinner, on the beach. excellent
Restaurant Tip : there are lots of small restaurants along the beach, at very good prices, but if you want a very special meal , for a special occasion i suggest you try the hotel. it was excellent, a lot more expensive, than along the beach, but come on it was our wedding anniversary, and well worth the money,food was excellent

This is a great site to book a holiday, good prices and efficient confirmation etc. This hotel is really a great spot if you don't have the need to walk to a club, bar or resturant. Transport is cheap to hire so you can get around very easily. The 18 hole golf course near by was fantastic and if you like golf take a small set of clubs with you.
Restaurant Tip : Koh Samui has some lovely resturants all set by the sea with very varied international cusine.

Shopping Tip : After Bangkok & Kuala Lumper shopping a little disappointing. However do try the tailer at the bottom of the hill (near main road turn off). Suits, dresses, etc. made to fit.

I guessed they overbooked us. We booked for share pool room, but I think they might be overbooked so they first asked us if we like to pay 2000 THB more to upgrade to a private pool room. We said no. Then they upgraded us anyway. That's tricky.

This hotel is luxurious, quite expensive but if you want a calm and comfortable rest - it is perfect.
Restaurant Tip : The reataurant in the hotel is quite expensive. You can go to the main street of the beach and have dinner there. A special bus takes you also to The Chaweng Beach. It's for free up to 6 p.m. and after 6 p.m costs 100 baht.
