We spent two nights at Rocky's in early March as part of our two week tour of Thailand. This hotel did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and clean. The pool and hotel grounds are clean and well kept. We only ate at the bistro, but it was delicious. Rocky's is a bit far from other restaurants and bars but you may not want to leave the resort. The best part of this hotel is the extra little features they provide like a beach bag a sun hat for you stay. They think of everything you might need.

Exceeded all expectations, went for a wedding which was the highlight.
Rockys resort is magnificent, the room was beautiful vie was magnificent.
Food excellent it must be e best place on the island, management and staff are all top notch.

The resort provides those extras you just don't get anywhere else.

it was an excellent stay, though it didn't have a gym inside. located a bit far from town and couldn't have a walk in the beach but it's one of the best hotels of our trip; we even had an upgrade to the best beach front villa. every detail is well placed.

This is an absolutely fabuolus hotel and superbly located. Just far enough away from the busy areas to be quite and relaxing, and just close enough to get anywhere you want to go. A small place too so you wont be on top of a lot of other people in the high season, even if the hotel is fully booked.
Wish I had stayed here more than 1 night. I will definitely try to come back to Ko Samui and will stay here if i can.
Highly recommended to anyone looking for an upscale place without an upscale pricetag.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Get to the beachside pool early to secure a chaise lounge - there are not many there an there are none on the private beach. This is the best place to hang out all day and relax in the sun.

quiet location. great service. availability of kayak, motorbike, car hire, free shuttle to Lamai and ?. Very clean and well presented.

They have a great Thai night with dancers and buffet - not so good if you are a vegetarian though.
Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful
Was great to be away from the busy city - but it is a shame there isn't a nice beach to walk along (rocky)

Must do - tour around the island with a guide
Visit and swim at the waterfall

We had a very nice stay at Rocky's. The room was very nice with a view of the garden pool. We were quite impressed with the staff and grounds we quite beautiful. Food was quite good with only 1-2 exceptions which were promptly replaced with other dishes. The 2 "cons" which we noted were: Very hard beds and over stuffed pillows, though this is common in Thailand, we expected a bit better for the price; second, the drink menu was incorrect saying they had a dark beer which was really a Weis beer....not a problem, but should be fixed.

stayed here for 3 days at the end of november 2012 as a solo traveller.I had eaten here before while staying at another resort so I knew the food would be good and it was.the room was very nice and the staff were great as is usually the case in Thailand.Only problem I had was with the checkin checkout people.When I arrived I waited for more than 2 hours for my room.I was informed that it took 3 hours to clean a 1 room apartment???Atexactly 2 oclock they let me in ;which just happens to be the checkin time'I called 3 times to extend my stay and got the run around everytime.When I checked out they were surprised i was leaving .Not well organized;doesn't seem to be anyone willing to make a decision as to whether I can extend or not.I would still go back and probably will.Could be it was just a language problem but they didn't seem real flexible at the desk.
Nightlife Tip:
not much close by to the the hotel;it pretty well self contained.

excellent small boutique resort set in a perfect tropical garden with a very nice beach.
fantastic breakfast.nicely decorated and clean airconditioned room in the gardens with good bed.good hot rainshower.
very friendly and helpfull staff.not cheap but excellent value for money.
they surprised me with a birthday cake with candles after breakfast when i had my birthday there!
