it is the one of the most amazing stays ever. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room is cozy and clean, and the beach is picturesque. I would strongly recommend the hotel to ppl who just want to have a peaceful stay and enjoy the sun and water.

Informal, quiet relaxed place

We literally passed through Koh Samui on our way to Koh Tao and wanted a quiet spot, away from the commercialized strip of side by side resorts. Samui Beach Village Resort was a good choice--the location is south of the Fisherman's Village, off the beaten track, the beach is very quiet and clean--no surf with a pretty sunrise. We enjoyed the soaking pool in front of our rooms well into the evening. The rooms are pleasant and all have ocean views. There's a short easy walk to the Clubhouse from the Ocean rooms where dinner and breakfast were both easy-going, with decent choices made by a competent and clean kitchen. We really enjoyed our waitress who was able to convey in a most entertaining manner the island culture. The resort provides a cell phone in the room we could use to call for the shuttle, or for assistance. We could tell that this resort is great for meeting other families. Carry a flashlight and bug spray after the sun sets.

we had only one night at this place while in transfer to villa la-lagune but it was excellent. the hotel staff were just fantastic, very very friendly and had all our questions answered and everything sorted very efficiently.
i would consider staying here again if you like a quiet location with a village type atmosphere. there is currently some construction going on near the entrance which may put off some people if aesthetics is a consideration for you. it seems very family friendly as well. we paid it represented good value as a last minute option.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Head down to just south of Hua Thanon and find a restaurant on the beach. One of the oldest establishments on the island and great food for a simple Samui experience.
