The Samui Natien Resort is located on a quieter part to the north of the main Chaweng Beach, making it an ideal place for those seeking a quiet vacation or romantic getaway. A shopping center, convenience stores, and car rental shops can be found on the main road, steps from Samui Natien. Great location on the beach but also just at the top of the "strip" so while it was quiet it was only a short walk to all the restaurants, shops, bars etc. While the quality of the breakfast was excellent the limited choices made it a little boring after a couple of days. Our first time in Koh Samui and we chose Samui Natien through a combination of location, price and interenet reviews. Three adults stayed in a superior villa.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful without being pushy - they were just always there to help when required. It is a small resort and while we were there it was maybe only a third full so it was very comfortable. At peak season or when it was full it might get a lttle crowded around the pool and on the beach but for us it was perfect.
Room was fine (though the water pressure in the shower was terrible we could deal with it) and comfortable but we were only in it to sleep.
Very convenient location in terms of access to shops, bars, retaurants but just far enough away to be quiet.
Had quite a few very pleasant hours sipping on a cold beer and relaxing with a book.
There are some absolutely enormous resorts in Koh Samui which I would imagine would be frightening in peak times, we were happy with the peaceful ambience at Samui Natien.
Restaurant Tip : Instead of walking down the "strip" go right at the fork about 50 metres down from the hotel. Not as glitzy or touristy (maybe even a little seedy) but some fabulous "genuine Thai" restaurants down there if you don't mind eating with the "locals"

Hotel with nice pool area just 5 meters from the beach.
Very nice beach - nice water - massage and jetski close by. Not the best hotel standard but the pool and beach access outweighs this. The hotel is a decent and good hotel situated in a good part of Koh Samui (Just on the border to the town but away from the noise). Pool and beach area is excellent. Staff is friendly but be aware that they poor your beer without too much foam.
Restaurant Tip : The restaurants on the beach front are excellent. But the neighbour to the right and further down on the right side are very good restaurants. Also a beach disco 500m away.

_right on the beach
I stayed at this hotel from 28 feb to 1st feb. This hotel is situated at great location. There is an office at the front of the hotel where you can arrange to go day trips to other islands. Staffs at the hotel are very helpful. Hotels do not have lockers and you need to pay for lockers at reception. Internet is very expensive at the hotel. The food is just normal. Staffs are always smiling but can't speak English very well.
