Great location if you want more peace and quiet - about 2 km south of the main part of Chaweng.
Great beach chairs but you have to get there early to grab one.
Very small room for the price and "Deluxe" label.
The piano man at breakfast was atrocious. We had to have breakfast before 9:30 in order to avoid him.
Because we booked over NYE, the hotel made us pay for a gala dinner - which is common for most hotels along Chaweng.
The main drag of Chaweng is not walking distance in the heat. So we spent about 1000 baht a day to and from the main part of Chaweng.
The hotel is right at the south end of Chaweng, about 2kms from the main time hot spot of Chaweng, so if you are looking to be close to the action, but don't have all the noise - and all the beach hawkers walking past every minute then it's great. But bear in mind it's a taxi or tuk tuk there and back each time.
The beach is really great, because it's a much quieter spot there's less noise and you have more space around you. the beach umbrellas for the resort were great too - but you had to get there early to get a chair. The rooms were really small. We thought for the price we paid and a "Deluxe" room, we would get a larger room, but we barely had space to put our luggage in the bedroom. The bathroom is very roomy but that's not exactly living space...
Also, it's not in the main area of Chaweng so we always had to get taxis or tuk tuks to and from the main spot to go out for drinks or catch up with friends for dinner.
Overall we thought it was a nice place to stay but definitely not worth the price.
Shopping Tip : If you are going to get stuff tailored, be sure to leave at least 4 days so that you can come each day for fittings - esp with suits for women, these take a little longer. We used Uomo in Chaweng which was good, at about 1000baht a shirt.

Located on southern part of Chaweng beach - quiet and clean beach. Picture perfect in fact. Only 10-15min walk along beach into main part of Chaweng. The staff were very friendly. Anything we asked was accommodated for immediately.
Breakfast was nice.
Food during day, by the pool or beach and room service was very good too.
Grand Villa room was quite small but is fine for a couple seeing as your usually on the beach. Balcony attached to each Bungalow is great to sit at in afternoon.
Pool is small however the beach is right there and you makes up for small size of pool.
Went to the Chalalai Spa - highly recommended. They have a deal when you arrive if you book within so many days.
I would definitely stay here again, would probably upgrade to a bigger room though. Didn't like the hand basin being outside the bathroom but think this was the case with a few of the hotels.
We were after a relaxing beach holiday and got just that. We had a few big nights where we went into Chaweng town.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Definitely recommending getting a scooter to get around if you are there quite a few days. EAsy to get anywhere. Just be careful of other drivers!

Clean, nice room, beach was clean and tidy and plenty of sun loungers.
Breakfast buffet very good.
Internet price is expensive for wifi, although there is one free station in reception.
All in all we had a very pleasurable experience during our time at the Koh Samui Paradise Resrt and Spa.
The grand villa was what we stayed in and it was very nice (albeit a little on the small side).
The whole resort was very clean and tidy and there were plenty of sun loungers and there no one was reserving them without using them.
There was also a 'beach party' which was nice - a few free cocktails and nibbles!
When my girlfriend was ill, the staff were very good in offering types of food that may suit her.
At a good end of the Chaweng beach - very clean and not as crowded.
Restaurant Tip : Be careful with the seafood in some of the Chaweng Restaraunts - my girlfriend got food poisoning from one of them on the main strip

Beautiful quiet area of the beach, bungalows, resort staff
A long walk into the centre of Chaweng - not especially pretty along the main road but fine via the beach
I first stayed at Samui Paradise nearly 5 years ago and a lot has changed since then. The resort is a lot more luxurious now but still maintains the charm it had then. The villas / bungalows have certainly moved up a level and these days beachfront accomodation is probably 4 times as expensive as it was back then, but also at least 4 times the standard.
The poolside villas are indeed VERY close to the pool! If you were sitting on your balcony you could be literally 2 metres from the person on the poolside sunbed - not particularly private. Our villa, had a view of the pool but was not directly beside it - a good compromise I think.
Breakfast was very nice, with a reasonable selection of fruits, bread, pastries & hot items. All eggs are cooked fresh to order by the chef (or waitstaff) - although the resort was busy there was never any real wait for this.
The Samui Paradise is located on what I would consider to be the best part of Chaweng Beach - this stretch of the beach is uncrowded, even in high season, and shelves gently into the sea, which at this time of the year (August) is as flat as a pancake and very safe for swimming.
It's a long walk to the centre of Chaweng and on the initial stages of the road near the Samui Paradise there is a lot of construction going on (Aug 2009) and it's not particularly pleasant. If you want to avoid running the the tailor shops along the way a walk along the beach is the nicest way of getting into town at any time of the day or evening - the first of the partybars on the beach is about 15mins walk from the resort - far enough away that you won't hear it - close enough if you want to come back from it!
I'll certainly be heading back to Samui Paradise soon!
Restaurant Tip : Little Boat Seafood close(ish) to Samui Paradise on the road into town. Not just a seafood restaurant but serves a large range of Thai & western dishes. Very reasonable prices and great food - this place was packed every lunch & dinner with many repeat customers - including us!

Rooms and bathrooms seem new, quiet place yet not far from the other restaurants, a good break from city type hotels with own hut!
Bathroom had sewage smell at times
Samui paradise is "paradise" with its lovely and quaint huts and homely service, a far cry from the city type hotels. Breakfast was nice! Didnt try their other food.Situated on the far end of the chaweng beach, you need to walk a bit to get to where the "action" is. And definitely worthwhile to hire a scooter...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Must try to have a meal/drink on one of the beach restaurants where they have huts and cushions to lie down.. Ultimate laziness and luxury!

Comfortable tastefully decorated cabins, quiet beautiful spot on the beach, accommodating staff, very good restaurant
Couldn't get rid of the mosquitos in the bathroom. Our second room (we had two) for our teenage sons was near the road. Although it was called a Deluxe Villa, it should really have been less expensive because the location is much less desirable.
The Samui Paradise Chaweng is a lovely hotel on probably the best spot on Chaweng Beach. The beach is quiet and clean with comfortable beach chairs and umbrellas, definitely not wall to wall people, a very friendly staff and the most delicious banana and watermelon shakes which are available at the hotel restaurant/bar.
The resort is small and beautifully laid out. The rooms are comfortable with enough amenities. The beds are comfortable. There is plenty of hot water and the airco is more than adequate.
My only real criticism of this hotel is that the Deluxe double bed Villa which I booked for my teenage sons was near the road and not deserving of the description Deluxe Villa. The hotel should not charge the same rate for this Villa as for the other Deluxe Villas which are nicely located. Teenage boys are of course not at all critical in this regard, but the hotel should take the extra noise and lack of nice surroundings into consideration.
We only ate dinner at the hotel restaurant one night but did have our lunch there everyday. The food is not cheap but it is very tasty and beautifully prepared.
Shopping Tip : We had suits made at The.O tailor recommended by the hotel reception. Great service and excellent quality. They even came and picked us up at the hotel.

Beautiful, shallow shelving beach with soft sand.
Several beach and poolside rooms.
beachside restaurant - great breakfast
Friendly staff
free use of selection of beach toys
small, unatmospheric lobby/reception
poor clearing away of used plates/glasses etc.
rooms a bit dark and not fully sealed from mozzies
sharp corners & edges and high steps, although children seem to adapt quickly to the environment
Checking in:-
We arrived on Saturday evening after dark. Upon arrival the lobby appeared small and unappealing without the typical tropical hotel buzz that I've come to expect, and my first feeling was that I'd booked the wrong sort of place. Whilst checking in, they did bring a welcome drink but I felt it could have been a bit more fresh.
I had called a few days earlier to re-confirm my booking in person and was told we had chalets next to the pool, however when checking in I discovered that they weren't actually next to the pool (in hindsight this was probably better as the pool villas may not have been so private).
Rooms:-
We booked the Grand Deluxe rooms. They are fairly spacious but a bit dark as they are constructed entirely of wood with tiled roofs. The wardrobe and safe are in the bathroom; there is no bathtub (only shower) and the shower heat was difficult to control (too hot or too cold). The main bed is very comfortable but if you have an additional bed it does become a bit awkward and we kept banging our feet and knees on various corners and sharp edges! minibar is fairly well stocked and TV channels are limited. The verandah is great - very big and well covered - and each room has a foot bath and shower outside to wash of your feet. Unfortunately there are gaps in the door and floorboards and no mosquito nets, so I was initially very worried we were going to be eaten alive, however if you have the air con cold enough there don't seem to be too many mozzies. Also they give you a complimentary mozzie spray which lasted us for a week and worked very well.
Restaurant:-
We ate dinner in the beach restaurant on the first night. I wasn't very impressed initially as it seemed a bit untidy and we were the only ones in the restaurant. However, I think my impressions were already tainted by the first impression of the reception and rooms.
Restaurant Tip : The Chef restaurant across the road is very good and partly owned by the hotel.
Baan Boran Puppet show restaurant was our favourite night out - excellent food and service.
Go for omelettes at breakfast and skip the sausages!

Hotel location. Nice and frendly atmosphere. Good restaurant.
Rooms are quite small (Grand Villa) and a little too close each other. Toilet.
We were in this hotel 5 nights. The location is very nice since is in the very south part of Chaweng beach, quite and beautiful place and enough far from the "mess". However with 5min by taxi you are in the center of the "village" full of restaurants and other things. Staff is friendly and helpful, SPA also is very nice at a reasonable price
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Chaweng itself is quite bad, a collection of huts selling everything, including a lot of garbage. Also, if you like the crystal water, snorkeling etc go someweher else (Koh Tao), do not expect so much in Samui.

Clean comfortable rooms, 2 minutes stroll to the beach. The beach was very pleasant and secluded. Staff were helpful and spoke English and German. Very relaxing break
Not much, pool was a bit on the small side but as we were out of season this wasn't a problem
A real find, I hadn't been to Samui for about 6 years and it has certainly grown. This was a good choice as a lot of the beaches are either not too good for swimming because of jet skis etc or too many touts. The only boats here were Thai fishermen and the beach staff kept the touts away. Massage available by the beach was very good. Already booked to go back this year, well recommended
Restaurant Tip : Very nice sea food restaurant opposite the entrance

very quiet and very nice resort near the water and the shopping area.
expensive restaurant and the food is not worth it better go and eat outside. i don't know how the hotel works in full capacity but the pool is small and fits a very small amount of guests
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don't take half day tour around samui it is a waste of time (and money) the monkey show is miserable monkey tied up to a tree that sits on you shoulder for a picture and the waterfalls are 20 minutes walk up hill (at the site there are elephants that suppose to take you to the waterfalls for 600 Baht but they don't).

It is in the ideal location at the far end of the beach.
The Samui Paradise is a great hotel.I have stayed here twice now and it is a hotel I will use in the future. I would recomend it very highly. The staff are very friendly and cant do enough for you.The bungalows are very clean and nice and you are straight onto the beach.
Restaurant Tip : The restaurant directly across the road serves excellent food and you must try the Loft. The loft is about a 10 min walk on your left hand side down the main road.

Great location right on the beach. Friendly staff.
Breakfast was average- Cordial instead of orange juice and coffee from a machine etc, although having breakfast from the open restaurant on the beach was lovely.
Loads of mosquito's in the room. Don' upgrade from a villa to a grand villa as it is worse. They are dark and really small. The standard villa is actually a lot bigger and brighter.
