Samui Sense Beach Resort Samui Info
This little gem of a boutique resort is tucked away on a peaceful spot of Lamai Beach. The Samui Sense Beach Resort is located on the white sand Lamai Beach, just a five-minute walk from the beach’s main resort area with plenty of quaint little restaurants, bars and shops. Lamai beach is a great alternative for those looking for a more peaceful beach location than Samui’s most popular and crowded beach Chaweng, which is only a convenient and inexpensive 15-minute taxi or minibus ride away from the Samui Sense Beach Resort. The resort comprises a small number of newly renovated poolside villas, Thai villas, superior rooms and suites in an intimate setting. The resort offers free internet access in the reception area, as well as daily complimentary bottled drinking water in all guest rooms. Nice breakfast next to the beach.
Expensive room with next building 2 meters from window.
Construction work while I stayed there.
Hotel was ok but a little expensive for the dark room with no view. Lovely swimming pool next to beach and nice breakfast. Overall though not good value for money. We later payed half the price for a slightly better room up 100 meters away.
Travel tip : Unless it is priced less in the high season you can do better for your money.

The hotel was right on the beach, room was large and very clean. Staff extremely helpful. I really can't knock the hotel at all.
The drawback for us was not the hotel but the Lamai resort's nightlife. A bit too seedy due to all the go-go bars.
This is an excellent value hotel. We stayed in a poolside villa which was spacious, very clean and had a large terrace overlooking the pool. Quite chic, too. The hotel staff were very helpful from the second we arrived. The hotel is in Lamai and right on a lovely stretch of the beach. The only downside to our stay was Lamai's nightlife which is quite seedy. We ended up taking a 20 minute taxi ride (£5/6) most nights to Chaweng which offered a more varied nightlife. Chaweng's beach was also lovely so I'll probably look for a beach front hotel there if returning to Samui. If you do want to stay in Lamai, I would certainly recommend Samui Sense.

Breakfast restaurant directly at the beach with a nice view to the Lamai Beach. The restaurant can also be recommended for lunchtime and dinner. For medium to upper level prices you get a good and adequate quality of drinks and meals.
Room size a little to small. Spa not directly in the resort.
The Samui Sense Beach Resort has a calm position at the Lamai Beach which is also good for starting trips inside the island. Very nice and romantic is the restaurant directly at the beach. The garden and swimming-pool are well taken care of. A good place for relaxing, though Spa is not inhouse. But the transfer to the Spa is well organized and for free.
