Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Good value budget accomodation
Price, location, everything works

The place is good value for the money. It's in a good location, everything works, and has a nice quiet pool. Cons: Bathroom is pretty minimal with basic shower and "no tissue in toilet". Friendly staff.

Great location but small rooms

Pool was OK but not enough poolside beds. Breakfast was not of a very good standard and no matter what time you went it was cold. Some people like to watch TV to relax but unfortunately the only channel in English was BBC news, no football. Wifi signal was weak and kept dropping out every 5 minutes

Great breakfast restaurant right on the beach
Breakfast restaurant, pool view room, excellent location

When we arrived for a one week stay, we were given room on the ground floor of one of the main buildings. There was a strong chemical smell. We stayed the night but the next morning realized that we couldn't take a week in there. We think the chemical cleansers were used to cover up a mold smell. Anyway, we asked the manager about moving and after very little discussion, he agreed to move us to a pool view room for an extra $130 for the week. We weren't keen on being charged extra for a room that didn't stink so he offered us room at no extra cost, the first pool view room but near the air conditioners so subject to more noise. We took it without regret. There was some noise but it was much better than the room we had been in. The rest of our stay was fantastic. This is a very nice beach resort, well kept and well run. They should stop trying to rent the smelly rooms on the bottom floor. It just annoys people. However, our complaint was heard and dealt with immediately, which speaks for the attentiveness of the staff and management. We would definitely go back. We recommend this hotel.
Restaurant Tip:
There are lots of moderately priced restaurants in the neighborhood, along with convenience stores and bars. You'll find whatever you're looking for as long as it's not real fine dining.

Great location but dark room
Perfect location at Lamai beach - near to many restaurants but yet quiet
5.7
Location is excellent but the room I stayed was quite terrible. If you plan to book the cheapest room (ground level on the main building) prepare for a very dark room. Also, my room really stink (mould, drain) - so better to get the more expensive ones. Hotel is charging for the airport transfer (500 BHT) - not sure if this is normal in Samui.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you plan to dive, go and stay at Koh Tao. Dive shops from Samui will travel there every day thus long boat rides and more expensive prices than staying few days in Tao.

Great hotel at a great location
Clean Rooms, Nice Staff, Great location, quiet and refined

we stayed over xmas and nye and had a blast. lamai is very nice. this hotel has a great vibe about it. each morning we got a good breakfast, the coffee was good, and the beachfront breakfast is very nice. the staff were very helpful in helping arrange things for us. the lady who watches the reception in the evening is a bit weird, but the man during the day is fantastic, although may be a bit sexist, not sure. anyways, a good time was had.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Napoli Pizza is a great restaurant. Watch the thaiboxing on Saturdays at around 2230.

This hotel is right on the beach.Staff know and understand english. The room is small but lots to do in Koh Samui so know time to spend in room anyway.Nice garden settings. You can hire chairs on the beach the only thing I did not like they take the Chairs away at 5pm to set up table and chair for dining.but you can not dine on the beach till 7pm.A 2 hour gap.The swimming pool dose not get busy because everyone is on the beach.Great spot for Familys
Restaurant Tip:
There is a nice restaurant a cross the road from the hotel to the left of the hotel when leaving. The restaurant on the right a cross the road charges a 10 percent surcharge on top of bill dont go there
