Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Saree Hotel Samui Info

With its beachfront location on the white and sandy Mae Nam Beach, Saree Hotel is a great base for exploring Koh Samui. The airport is just a 10 minute drive from the hotel, and the popular Chaweng Beach 15. The best way to explore the island is on a rental vehicle, and Saree provides for car rentals, with or without the driver the choice is yours. Guests can enjoy both water as well as land activities, from golf and diving, to go karting, and a trip to the crocodile farm. The hotel's open-air restaurant serves delectable local and international food cuisine while the beach side bar mixes a great evening drink. The best part by far is the accommodation, with soft tones and comfortable amenities.

Very nice design, quiet, very friendly staff, magnificent beach, good food

A little bit remote and isolated - a disadvantage during low season only. There were very few guests which gave us a strange filling. Even though, all hotel services were available

we stayed 4 nights and enjoyed it very much but there was construction activity in the swimming pool deck which disturbed us and eventually caused us to checkout before time. The problem was that nobody notified us in advance that there is construction going on in the hotel. I should mention that the hotel manager was very nice considering and accepted our complains and recommended Agoda to refund us. There is onther disturbing issue with Agoda. When we were looking for the hotel we saw in the hotel avalability window "only 5 rooms left". This caused us the to think that the hotel is almost fully booked. Actualy ther were only 3-4 rooms occupied.

Excellent rooms, ordinary resort, quiet location Guest Rating: 8

Room (villa) is simply amazing. about 1000 sq ft of pure luxury. Courtyard, open drawing room, lovely bedroom, open air shower and bathtub (2 person). beautiful furniture and furnishings, Bose audio system. Breakfast included in price. Pool is on the beach. from pool to the sea is max 10 meters at high tide. staff is very good. room service food is very good and reasonably priced.

did not expect to be picked up from ferry station in a pick up? breakfast on both the days was IDENTICAL? renovation going on in pool area with some noise. also did not understand why no upgrades are being given if only 4 rooms were occupied or perhaps cheaper rates should have been offered. Mae Nam beach is TOO quiet. only for the retired. even honeymooners will tire of the isolation in 1 day and look for the action of chaweng.

the finest room i have stayed in in my 35 years. the rest of the hotel is fairly ordinary and much the same as any resort. good food but ordinary breakfast. complete solitude gets to you after some time. no signs of any activity for guests. staff were very nice although they refused to give us a drop back to the ferry station even though there was a pick up.

Travel tip : come out of the hotel and go the car rental run by Chai (with a mamasan) ... he is an educated man speaking good english and fluent german. ask him to drive the car and go for a tour of samui. he charged 1700 THB including his services, toyota corolla, fuel for about 10 hours. he is a great guide and was extremely helpful for us. he also owns 7 bars in Pattaya in case you land up there.

So much potential, but... Guest Rating: 6.3

Sensational view of ocean; good food reasonably priced

If you are expecting a "4 Star" experience you will be GREATLY disappointed! This is a 'concept' hotel. Lots of great features but also lots of usual services/facilities noticably absent.

Initially, we were so excited about our stay at this hotel; the views looked spectacular and it advertised itself a 'boutique resort' - IT IS NOT!!! Although the views and pool did not disappoint - the rest of the hotel (especially the service/facilities) did disappoint :( During our stay at the hotel there was construction/repair work on the villas and pool - this meant between 7am and 10pm there was NO PEACE and QUIET at the hotel - this completely ruined the view AND made eating at their restaurant out of the question! Eventually the management got involved and started giving away complementary meals and halted the work by the pool during the day - the local and foreign manager were extremely appologetic (embarrassed) by the situation and really seemed to do everything in their power to make the stay pleasant for the unfortunate guests who happened to be here during the period. Also, watch out for the pathways thru the hotel - they are made of ugly, unevenly layed clay bricks; my wife tripped twice; and wheeling your luggage over them is next to impossible. If they dont change this im sure they will end up with a law suit! Overall - im sure this hotel would be great if it were cheaper, no construction was going on, and they changed the pathway brickwork - their oceanside position is second to none for seclusion and tranquility

Shopping Tip : There is no fre shuttle service at the hotel to Chaewang - they can organise a taxi for 600BHT one way. If you plan on egularly going into CHaewang during your time in SAmui - stay somewhere else!
