Great sett up

Two pools, plenty of room
5.7
overall the venue was good. the set up of the whole comlex is great - two pools, beautiful gardens and a huge duplex for a family holiday however the park was lacking in certain aspects that did put a dampener on our trip. our duplex leaked water, it was reported but not investigated - when it rained (as it does in thailand) we had rivers running down the wall of the stairs but nothing was ever done about it. on top of this the air conditioning leaked and also deposited water on the stairs. we experienced one of many power failures on the island (no fault of the management) however staff at the resort did not find it necessary to ensure all guests were okay - after three hours we investigated how much longer we were likely to be in the dark for, staff had never bothered to check in with guests. housekeeping was average, beach towels would be removed from our room but not replaced. bottled water was provided every few days, no consistency in the supply (good thing we bought our own in big supply). the hot waer supplied only to the bathrooms required resetting every other night to endure we could have a hot shower. there eas no hot water in the kitchen unless you boiled the kettle (slow boiler making it a long process) meaning cleaning the dished was difficult. cleaning of the pools seemed to also be inconsistent, after nights of winds and storm acitivity the pools were not touched meaning you were swimming with debris across the surface and in the water of the both pools. garbage was piled high in the driveway - whilst it is recognised there was a problem with garbage collection across the entire island, the stench when entering the duplex from the garagee was terrible. this is no 5 star resort but comfortable once you are aware of the shortcomings
Travel tip: Hire a car in Choeng Mon, not through the hotel. All car hire agencies are negotiable on the rates they charge. The price of a taxi to go anywhere is more than the cost of a rental car

Fantastic Property and Smiling Service

Apartment instead of hotel room, peaceful, luxurious, great location, wonderful service
10
The Park Samui was an excellent choice for our three week holiday. Staying in a spacious and luxurious apartment was much better than staying in a hotel room. The staff at The Park Samui are most helpful and no matter what the situation was, staff members always had a smile on their face. The apartments themselves are very nice . . . but the landscaped property is beautiful. On some days we opted to sun around one of the pools, instead of going to the beach because the pools are wonderful. If we ever go back to Koh Samui we will stay at The Park Samui once again.

Hotel Alternative

Pool, peace and quiet, views
7.3
great alternative to hotels. full kitchen so you can self cater if you wish. nice large rooms, although no hanging/wardrobe space in second bedroom. pools are nice. be aware that apartments are split level and property is on a hill, so there are plenty of steps. not far from restaurants, but in a quiet peaceful area. some maintenance issues, such as decking needing repairs, patchy service etc do unfortunately lessen the experience

Nice big apartments, lots if space and nice pools.

Big apartments
8
The apartments are a little bit out of the way, however it is only 5 minutes in a taxi to chaweng or bophut, and reception will call a taxi for you. Apart from that, the apartments are great, and really good value for money.

Quiet place but declining compare to last year

Nice place on the hill

we were in park samui last year and we have noted changes. no more restaurant but you can order your food from a restaurant near by. the room are cleaned every two or three days. we have found old pieces of pizza in the microware... we had one of the beautiful appartement b2. two days to wait to get your laundry... the staff is friendly but not everybody do speak english... a little bit desappointed... the two swimming pool are clean and big enough to swimm.
Hotel Feature Tip: The hotel is modern and quiet. But you have to call 10 times to get yor fried eggs in the morning in your room. Breakfast 220 bath... No massage privided in the hotel.

8.3
great place for a family. Two beautiful and clean pools.huge two bedrooms appartment, very well furnished. Nice staff. Beautiful maintained gardens.Very quiet and free tuktuk service.would come back again.
Restaurant Tip: Restaurant bongoes provides takeaway and delivery service to your door

A great place for family

reasonable price
7.7
you can basically book everything at the hotel so that you dont have to worry about anything, such as the local tour and the car rental. They don't really have a restaurant at the hotel, but there is this place called the Bongoes that you can order delivery to your hotel. The reception is very helpful either.
Nightlife Tip: The night market at the Fisherman's Village only opens on Fri night.

Good to stay

tidy and neat with lots of space

it's a good hotel for family, there's lots of space in the room, although the swimming pool is a bit small, but good for relaxing. however, the location is not good enough and its easy to pass by.
Hotel Feature Tip: its good to stay for family and relax in the hotel.
Sophie B. Families with older children France, August 21, 2011

we were very happy at the park samui. the manager is very kind. we had a nice appartment for the 4 of us. the site os very peaceful calm and very cosy. except the people on the front desk nobody speaks english even the people from the restaurant.

Good Value

Large apartment-style living suitable for longer periods (7+ days)
5.7
Great spot for longer stays. Location not yet developed, so you feel "out-of-the-action", but in reality you are walking distance to Chong Mon and a short ride to Fisherman's Village & Chaweng.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Far and away the best location for restaurants close by is in Fisherman's Village. Forget taxi's - hire a car for the period (~30 US$/day) and you can rove around the whole island if you want to - it's still cheaper than a taxi to/from the restaurant!
