Clean, comfortable, extremely helpful staff hard to find on the first day because of the name change of the hotel We found this hotel to be much better than expected. Many reviews on the internet said it was not safe. We felt very safe and left with no incident. The woman working the front desk went out of her way to help us with questions and other problems we had that would not normally be her issue to deal with. It was very clean and comfortable. We felt that we got way more than we paid for.
Nightlife Tip : The hotel is located kind of far away from nightlife. Need a taxi to find an area with a lot of people and bars.

great location, good deal stained carpet, min. staff service With such price, this is def. a good place for budget stay, although the one and only staff is not so helpful, and the room is not that clean, but still the hotel itself is in great location, walking distance to major shopping area, even still out late, still can get back easily

The price is low, and the staff is nice. The hotel is near to the airport, and in the commercial street. The hotel reception is on work after 10am, if you arrive before 10 o'clock, then you have to wait untill they start to work. Self-service you need to take during you stayed at the hotel, even when you check out, you've only just left the key on the front desk then you would be alright to leave, and you were not sure if you need to be charge anymore. The room is tidy, but the lock of the room door was not hard enough to protect your baggage, that's why we need to take all of our baggage when we were out, and only left the clothes in the room.

Staff, Location with easy access to beach, Room was modern , clean and newish 1) NO STAFF after 11pm, open door access, VERY POOR SECURITY anyone could walk in and use your key
2) TV -4 Thai 2 German 1 Russian channels..NO ENGLISH channels...
3)Bulding/Demolition next door 8am to 5/6pm everyday, very noisy...
4) Ants..u will need to spray to get rid of them
5) We had bike, but otherwise its a long walk to action areas...
6) No kitchen, breakfast is toast and jam.. This hotel has potential BUT needs to lift there game with security. If you need to contact staff after 11pm,bad luck no one there..lose ur key after 11pm, u cant access ur room.. bad luck...If someone enters hotel thru open door takes ur key from counter they can enter ur room and steal everything..bad luck.
And they should expand TV channels to include English.
Apparently new owners feeling there way, and cost cutting.....
I would not stay there again despite the staff being great....TOO NOISY.. NO SECURITY/STAFF AFTER 11PM..AND NO TV FOR ME......
Restaurant Tip : Walk north to ninja crepes retaurant ..excelllent value, good variety, great food and staff hard working..highly recommended for breakfast lunch or dinner...

The rooms are brand new and clean, fridge, tv, aircon, safe deposit, all at a very low price! Great value for money!!! There were constructions in progress next door but the receptionist gave us a further discount on the room prices, only 600thb per night for a double with ensuite bath and aircon!!! Nice hotel, we had a very pleasant stay even with a noisy construction site next door. Receptionists were really nice and helpful, 3 minutes from the beach and a 10 walk to all the main amenities. The beach is on the other side of the main road 2 min walk. The rooms were new and clean and furnished with kettle, fridge, free tea and coffee, toiletries, TV and fridge to keep your drinks fresh. Wireless Internet on request.
Travel tip : Get urself a scooter from one of the numerous rental places nearby the hotel and set urself free around Chaweng and Koh Samui.

Simple rooms at good prices, with friendly staff.
Room cleaned daily, which was a bonus. Major building works which shake the building.
The hotel has two names Myqexpress and The Room, but taxis do not know this hotel as the room. This hotel is a good cheap option at the end of beach road. The hotel is very close to a new construction site and the building shakes and is a bit scary.
The hotel's former name was Myqexpress so taxi drivers get confused.
This hotel is spotlessly clean and rooms are cleaned on a daily basis, with new towels which was a real bonus!

Close to Chaweng centre and beach
Good AC Building site immediately adjacent - industrial piledriver going from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Bathroom floor floods when you take a shower The Room Chaweng Hotel is in the centre of town down a small lane built in apartment block style. The reception is modern and staffed until about 10 p.m. by friendly staff. There is WIFI in reception for which you purchase a card. The rooms are quite large and the bed is big and comfortable. There are no other facilities but you are only a one minute walk from the centre and the beach. If you are going to book this hotel, ensure you book through Agoda, as their rates are HALF those you would pay at the deski. As I mentioned above, the big downside currently is the worksite next door which makes a lot of noise!
Restaurant Tip : Walk up to the night markets for excellent, freshly cooked Thai food - very cheap too!

Big room, DVD player, friendly staff, nice location. Typical thai hotel breakfast but ok, DVD player only played in black and white. Hotel was nicely located down the street from the beach. Walked and the street has nice restaurants and lots of shops. People there were very friendly and helpful with accomidations. Very clean!
Shopping Tip : You can really barter with the shops here. The first price was NEVER the last price. Very nice people in shops as well.

Lacks a good in house restaurant The hotel is a good area close to the beach within 5-10 min walking distance but does not have a nice room view on the beach.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Enjoy the walk till very late at night. The place is pretty safe.

Clean, new, simply, cheap, near the town, breakfast was easy...enjoyed the staff It was clean and easy to get to. It was not in a loud part of town. Hid away but walking distance to all the fun places in Chewang. Sits near the beautiful Centrana hotel ground. The staff was friendly and helped me arrange my traveling plans. Easy, comfortable, convinent and cheap. The breakfast was simple and good.

Location, room size, clean, friendly staff no restaurant or outside seating area I thoroughly enjoyed my five night stay at this hotel. Received a warm welcome and found the staff very friendly & helpful at all times. The room was clean and a very comfortable king size bed. My room was quiet but rooms at the other end would have heard some noise from a late night mini van bar that played very loud crap music. I asked housekeeping to change a light bulb that had gone out in the shower and it was dome immediately, I also asked for a desk chair which was brought straight away. When I asked for a taxi to the airport,the hotel manager offered to drive (for a fee) but I thought it was a really nice touch.

Hotel is new , location is OK . bathroom is tiny and the shower cable is short , sometimes room is dirty some staffs are helpful , some staffs are lazy , one of them are not so happy when you don't join the local tour through her. breadfast is poor it just got some bread , one banana and one mango on the table and in a small place with no air-conditioner , they didn't clean my room on the last day.

Remember to remind the reception to clean up your room before go out, otherwise the room clean -up staff may be off and then you need to wait for the next day.
