Gorgeous place with friendly staff

The Sarann is a lovely place, large private rooms with extremely comfortable beds. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the pool is really nice.
The only downside I can think of is there are no recliners on the beach next to the hotel as there are with other places, this is largely due to the fact that the part of the beach next to the sarran is a bit rocky, however this end of the beach is much quieter than the other end and the sand is softer.
Restaurant Tip:
Koh san in chaweng was really good food and good value. Eat sense further along the beach was also fantastic although a bit more expensive.

very quite life and we chose the sarann again . its really nice to spend the afternoon by the pool or in the pool and you can also enjoy the sea. the jacuzzi villa is fairly big . would recommond jacuzzi villa which is located more away from the noise. the restuarant is along the rocks, very good view. the hotel is far away from the center so we have to dine in the hotel but the food is really good and view is awesome. the only pity we should of stayed more the 8 days and enjoy koh sumui more
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
tiger zoo and elephant ride where the best and don,t pay 200 bah for a taxievery time, just hire a small car for 700 bah a day and enjoy the island in your own pace

This was a wonderful place to stay for a week while relaxing on the beach in Thailand. The room was enormous, and had a great bed, TV, and bathroom. I cannot even describe how nice these rooms are. As this place was not expensive (though there was a great deal on when I booked), it is a great value.
Definitely stay here.
The only thing I can say is that the restaurant is decent, but not the best. The hotel is near a couple of other restaurants in the area, but not near the town of Chaweng, which makes variety a bit of an issue. The hotel runs a shuttle to Chaweng, but it is not very conveniently timed. Expect to pay for taxis if you want to be in town everyday.

Nice style in the room and fenced in porch but a little noisy from the street Also hot water in the shower was off and on but to be fair a guy came and ran the hot water in the sink and the water for the shower got hot again. Very Beautiful pool but the whole area was a little small very close to a great beach but there are rocks right in front of the hotel. Everyone with the Staff was great and very nice.

Good location. It take 10 mins to Chaweng beach road where has so many restaurant and supermarket. It is also close to lamai lamai where has great spa and restaurant.
However, there is so convenience store or shop with in the walking distance. You have to use hotel transportation service or rent a car.

Lovely but a bit overrated

We were expecting more from this hotel to be honest. The website photos are amazing and we probably expected too much before we got there. The infinity pool actually looks over rocks as its positioned on a cliff and the jacuzzi room was pointless as it was always too hot to use the jacuzzi. Rooms were clean though, and staff were friendly. Free shuttle bus to chaweng beach twice a day was a good addition.

Staff were so nice, food was good but a service a bit slow! Rooms are just incredible! Design and decoration makes you feel as you don't want to leave the room!
The infinite pool is small but with a nice views to the sunsets! Fantastic with some champagne!

Location is not easy to get around if you are not renting a bike or car.
