Food, Drink and Entertainment
There are three restaurants: Chef Chom's Thai Restaurant near the lobby, Floyd's Beach Bistro where you can dine on the beach, and The Butler's Restaurant serving daily European dishes. There are also two bars for guests to enjoy.
Chef Chom's Thai Restaurant
Chef Chom’s Thai Restaurant is located on the hill leading down to the beach, next to the Lobby Lounge. It offers the tastes of royal Thai cuisine by M.L. Puang. The restaurant also introduces you to local, southern Thai food for which the chefs have put together their own local recipes to create original home cuisine.
The Butler's Restaurant
Amidst an intimate atmosphere, this is a restaurant where an exotic menu is originated day by day. Based on the concept of creating something different, guests can try the fusion and European dishes, such as grilled duck breast in pha-lo sauce with fresh herbs. The outdoor gazebo is sometimes used as a venue to hold our cocktail parties. Open 7-10.30pm.
Po-Lad Beach Bistro
A new name, and a new look, but guests still enjoy the same excellent menu. Have lunch, play a game, read magazines, or simply relax in this lively and comfortable bistro.
Open: 11am-2am
Lobby Bar
The Lobby Bar is open everyday from 10am-midnight. Try blue tongsai cocktail. The bartenders are creative when it comes to mixing alcohol. Watch the bartenders show their skills at the get-together cocktail party and join in the fun.

We spend the last few days of our holiday here and it was very relaxing. This is a very nice resort! Friendly people, good pool, good food!
Nightlife Tip : If you want a very special restaurant experience, go to "dining on the rocks"! Excellent food! Not cheap but a real experience worth the money.

Great hotel and service overall. Best for couples. Alot more spread out than I expected! -- upside is you get an extra 10 minutes of exercise per day up and down those stairs to one restaurant/ lobby. Amazing rooms. Great breakfast buffet---fresh fruit and a juicer for great veggie juice too! My favorite was the carrot , apple and ginger juice. Nice staff, very accomodating. Mind the small broken shells-- stuck in my feet so wear sandals. very minor though, the great pools make up for lack of an ideal beach.
| Very very average and overrated hotel |

The fruits selection for breakfast was amazing & the two ladies in charge of that selection were adorable
Problems with the housekeeping staff. Also the general attitude of the staff most of whom had chips on their shoulders
Reading the amazing reviews on Tirpadvisor my wife & I were very happy to zero in on Tongsai Bay for a 5 day romantic holiday.
I must say that by the end of it we felt absolutely let down & utterly disappointed.
Rooms : Very average in terms of ambience, layout design & feel. Have seen much much better. We actually had paid for the cottage & yet when we saw the Oceanfront rooms we "downgraded" ourself so as to be able to have the better view as well as be more accessible to the common areas of the hotel.
Service : Maybe terrible would be a harsh term but miserable would not be utterly out of sync. Barring Mr.Kiat from the front desk who was wonderful, the two delightful ladies at the fruits counter on the breakfast area in the mornings & a handful of others by & large the service was not in line with the warm hospitality that is so much the enduring hallmark of the whole of Thailand. A few examples to elucidate,
We parked ourselves next to the swimming pool and waited forever to catch somebody's attention to place our order for drinks. When someone did finally show up we asked for 1 bottle of water and I specifically asked for a non-chilled/room temperature coconut. The water arrived after 15 minutes and 10 minutes after that we were served a CHILLED coconut. NOT DONE SIR.
First morning we left for breakfast & returned to the room to find it just as we had left it. I just brushed it off & put a "please clean my room" sign outside. We returned from our swim & frolicking to discover that the room had yet not been done. Miffed I caught the attention of a housekeeping staff & politely pointed to the sign dangling on the door & requested him to do the needful. We left for lunch went to the city & returned at 5 in the evening & to our horror found the room just as we had left it in the morning. A call to the manager & much ranting later our room finally got serviced.
This one is amazing, we had ordered a mango from room service the day we had arrived. It was not ni
Travel tip : The Spa at SIx Senses is outstanding. Highly recommended.
Also a must do in Koh Samui is hiring your own bike as soon as you land. Not only will it give you mobility & freedom but it will also save you lot of money.
