Photos and Room Info

Deluxe Room
Our Deluxe Rooms are renowned for their traditional Thai interior design. Paintings from local artists adorn the walls and pastel shaded curtains and cushions give the room a romantic yet contemporary atmosphere. Teak wood furniture and large mirrors further enhance the beauty of the room. Behind a sliding glass door, there is a spacious bathroom with glistening white ceramic tiles and a rainwater fed hot water shower.
|

Superior Room
Superior Rooms are located on the ground floor of our Thai style houses. Of the 16 rooms, 12 come equipped with twin beds, while the other 4 have king size beds. The white, sandy Choengmon beach is but a short stroll from your door.

Junior Suite
The White House Hotel has a total of 8 Junior Suites. These traditional Thai style houses are equipped with all modern amenities such as air conditioning, safety deposit box, IDD phone, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, slippers, bath robe, hot water and hair dryer. In addition, there is a separate UBC Satellite Receiver in the room which enables you to make your choice from 15 different satellite channels. Each room has a king size bed and a separate sitting area and the beach is only a short walk away.

The Chomdao & Chomduean Thai Suite
The Chomdao and Chomduean Thai Suites each have a separate bedroom and living room. In the living room, an outsized abstract painting in red and gold contrasts beautifully with the dark teak walls, tastefully illuminated by carefully positioned wall and floor lamps. The bathroom is tiled in sandstone with a specially designed 'salty egg' shaped hand basin. The paintings on the bathroom doors are done by a local artist from Maenam in the Ayutthayan period style and are perfect examples of traditional Thai artistry. The detail shown represents a stalk of rice as well as various animals, symbolising the abundance of nature in Thailand.

Food, Drink and Entertainment
Ruean Sai Lom Restaurant Our renowned restaurant, 'Ruean Sai Lom' is idyllically placed between the classically designed swimming pool, lined with terra-cotta friezes and the magnificent Choengmon Beach. Impeccable design combined with luxurious use of flowers, fabrics and stone do make you 'feel like a president'. The tables are sectioned off from one other by the clever use of drapes and hangings, making it feel like an extremely private affair. And although 'up-market', there is no dress code. At one table you'll find shorts and T-shirts worn by a honeymooning couple, while at the next there'll be a group of executives in tuxedos, creating a friendly, Bohemian ambience. Open daily from 11 a.m to 10 p.m, while bar remains open until 11 p.m.
Four Season Restaurant On the first floor above the lobby, the 'Four Season' Restaurant is open daily from 7a.m. to 10 a.m. for breakfast only. We serve fresh seasonal fruits, cereal, yoghurt, Italian bread, French Croissants, Swiss cheese, meat and a wide selection of hot Thai and international dishes. Have you ever tried a freshly squeezed cantaloupe or watermelon juice? Start your day with a delighful breakfast at the Four Season Restaurant.

Excellant location, nice big rooms, friendly staff, rooms well cleaned, excellant gardens
good value Liked the beach set up on an evening
This hotel was booked on location and price. I had seen the hotel before from the outside and knew therefor that the location in the centre of Chong Mon beach was perfect. On a late arrival the staff were waiting for me no problems lots of info and no rush. On a early departure again no problem and it was 4.20am! just as helpful. Breakfast excellant vitually sat on the beach at the table, nice clean pool if a little small by current trends but it felt nice and well maintained. On a neg felt the bathroom a little tired and needed a revamp but in no way did this spoil my stay.I would recommend this hotel to anyone as good value not quite the 5/6 star standard of a couple of the new hotels on the beach but had a very acceptable smaller hotel feel where you felt the staff did actually know you were staying there! Gardens very different small but really well maintained.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Get out and about the island. Beach here is fantastic BUT well worth seeing as much as the island as possible it really is worth. Tours, Taxi, hire car scooter or public transport are all to hand. The people mostly are helpful and friendly but don't count on all being able to understand english. They don't and smiles don't always give you the ansa. Also try to eat Thai it is mainly fish and excellant but you don't have to go far to eat jus about any of the worlds dishes.
Chong Mon area is fast becoming just a little exclusive but its OK now

Right next to the beach.
Spacious room with big bed.
Friendly staff.
Free internet but not printer (we were told we can forward it to the hotel's email address and they can print in out for you).
Free breakfast.
Hard bed.
No instructions for the safe .
Has that "old" smell.
Expensive dinner.
DVD player didnt work in our room.
We were greeted with complimentary drinks but we didnt want any. I was given a beautiful orchid pin instead. We decided to try out the restaurant for dinner. The restaurant faces directly out to the beach so it very relaxing and beautiful. The food was ok but not worth the price. It was our last night there and we wanted to stay in and borrow a DVD from the hotel. We asked the male staff that was on duty at that time...instead of getting the key to get us the DVD he keep telling us to use the spa or go to the restaurant instead. We were getting annoyed because we keep saying no thanks at least 3 times before he went to get the key.

Beach location.
Superb service & friendly staff.
lovely room.
We have no hesitation in recommending this lovely hotel. Don't expect a room with a sea view as it has a very narrow frontage. The staff were wonderful and great at arranging our trips and public bus transport to Krabi.
Restaurant Tip : Lots of good bars & restaurants along the beach. try Otto's for a friendly beer. Our favourite restaurant was Kirati where you will get great value food and a friendly welcome from Sopha.
