Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.
We want you to pay the lowest possible rate for your room. If you have reserved a hotel room through Agoda, and then show us that you could book the same room, for the same dates, at a lower rate, that is viewable and bookable on another website, within 48 hours of booking your room with us, we will either match that rate or beat it. very stylish, beautiful and small hotel with a distinct laid-back feeling.
no gym, food could be better (not bad, but definitely not the best I had in Thailand), personnel could use more training, is a bit too relaxed itself
I would visit it again, but not for more than the 5 days we stayed there. I think it would benefit greatly from a better chef, I think the restaurant should aim to attract guest from outside the hotel too. Also, I think a gym would be a worthwhile investment. I absolutely liked the other guest, even though I didn't have much contact with any of them: everybody just enjoyed themselves being lazy. It really serves as a retreat.

* Overpriced
* Staff speaks no English
* No TV
* No Internet
* Dirty in room pool
* No water pressure
* No round the clock service
And the list goes on and on
We spent 4 nights at this property before x-mas 2009, celebrating our birthdays.
The hotel is far, very far, from the airport area and the center of Samui. The only way to get there from the airport is via a "special cab" - 1000 THB (about $30). It's a 45 minute drive the resort.
Unfortunately, unlike most resorts, there is not much that you can do there. So you are trapped away from it all. If you want to get back to town, you can either take the free shuttle (once a day at 6:00p, goes back at 10:00p) or order a ride to town (1200 THB/$40 USD each way).
Food
----
At the hotel you have one restaurant that serves a somewhat poor breakfast (included with our rate) and also dinner until 10:30p. You can get your food in the room as well for no additional cost (nice!). The information book says you can call them "always", but apparently "always" means until 10:30p. When we wanted food after 10:30p we relied on one of the staff (very nice guy) that drove 20 minutes to a McDonald's to get us some food. He actually did it on his free time.
TV/Internet
-----------
Live TV did not work. It's only in the brochure.
Internet - they advertise broadband Internet, but in reality Google takes 30 seconds to load - if it does. Other sites wouldn't even load. We ended using the data on our cell phones, which was much faster (and no, no 3G on Samui, but 50-100kbps was still much faster than the "broadband").
English
-------
The staff always smiles, always says yes, but has no clue what you want. So they are very nice, but useless. None speak English. It took us almost half an hour to get an answer for a simple question - "is the curry

This place is stylish, quiet and very up to date... free highspeed internet, Apple TV with a lot of movies and music, nice (affordable) pool villa's, excellent service and great interior design. We also loved the concept of the we-have-no-do-not-disturb-sign... they just leave you alone until you want something.
but....
For a resort that has been open for a bit longer than a year, it already needs a good paint job. The beach can be (very) filthy with the things that wash up on shore. It would be nice if they would hire a person to just clean up the mess.
You have a lot of privacy. But you can hear your neighbors from your bathroom Also we wondered how things would be if the resort was fully booked - I think you wouldn't enjoy it as much....
I found the food to be very good, but quite expensive compared to other resorts we stayed in - and this includes the price of the drinks (200 bhat for a Gai Pad Thai, 120 for a can of beer).
We paid 800 bhat for transport from our previous resort (Six Senses Hideaway) to here, and to go to the airport (which is in the same are as Six Senses) X2 asked 1.200 bhat. Why?
Don't get me wrong... it is a very cool resort, and I don't mind to pay the price, as long as it is worth it. But I would recommend this resort, though....
