very nice beach
modern design a little bit far from center downtown of samui I love the private white sand beach in front of the hotel.It's so quiet and suitable for relax holiday.The restaurant next to the beach decorate so modern and relax atmosphere and the food are quite good and not too expensive.The garden is nice and look more beautiful at night time with the good design lighting.The guest room decoration is modern design but the televation had been set too high for that low bed and the folding door fot this televation cabinet had something wrong with the design because they alway swing back whenever you want to open them.
However I love the bathroom design very nice and wide.The location a little bit far from downtown so you have to rent the car for transportation and the taxi in samui charge you very much.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : you must go to dinner at Chawang beach,It is romantic.

great design, comfortable rooms, flexible check-out/in. not a nice beach, sandflies, rooms infested with (dengue-type) mosquito's We stayed for a few nights in the cheapest villa and were happy with the room and facilities (except for the water pressure: it takes ages to fill a bath tub). The hotel is member of design hotels and rightfully so, but nevertheless overpriced. The swimming pool is excellent and the view from the restaurant very relaxing. The beach is ok to stroll along (if you don't mind all the rubbish) but swimming in the sea is not really an option. The (rather dirty) beach chairs were only used by us and I soon discovered that the sand flies must be part of the reason. But the most annoying part of the stay was the number of mosquito's at the resort. Even after the staff fumigated the resort and use pesticides in the rooms, we still killed at least 25 mosquito's in 1 night in our bathroom. They are the type that spreads the dengue virus and Samui is an area where dengue fever is present. I don't think I'll return.

Very good design of the hotel. El hotel es muy bueno en cuanto al diseño, calida de construccion e instalaciones. La comida tambien es muy buena como todos los servicios. Un poco altos los precios en relacion a los costos de todo en tailandia. Lo unico malo es la playa, el agua esta a una cuadra de la costa y la verdad no se puede ir hasta el agua. Igualmente es recomendable para ir unos dias.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the rooms were extremely well appointed. The beach is not the best (meaning only that it's located on a tide bank so you have to walk out to get to deep water), however the enormous and deep pool certainly makes up for this. I was extremely impressed with this hotel. Our Garden Suite although it did not have a pool was an amazing room. The privacy of the individual bungalows cannot be understated - our hotel at Chaweng beach paled in comparison. The decor and design of every detail was quite impressive and I know we'll be trying out the other X2 hotels in their other locations.

Gorgeous hotel design, unique "one of a kind" luxury, quiet location, well stocked Apple TV, great value. Beach is too shallow to swim in, restaurant has unexciting menu, staff tries hard but are a few steps behind the quality of the hotel We really enjoyed our stay at the X2 Samui and got a fantastic rate through Agoda for a 3 night stay. We arrived a night early to Samui and stayed in the raucous Chaweng beach. So when we got to the quiet X2 in the morning we very much welcomed the peace and seclusion.
Our room had its own private pool, waterfall, and huge bathroom. Breakfast was just "ok" with a ton of options but nothing was "excellent", though I do recommend the Asian breakfast and fruit compote. The linens on the bed were adequate though the towels could be more plush. The Apple TV had days of music and movies and is more than enough to keep you occupied. The hotel rents bikes, kayaks and snorkeling gear for free and charges $10 a day for a motor bike. We did the latter and drove about 10 minutes north to Lamai beach which is a lot of fun and has deep water for swimming.
Restaurant Tip : Leaving the hotel on bike or walking, go back to the main road, make a right and walk about 200 meters. On your right you will find "the M Restaurant" and you'll be glad you did. This isn't a high end restaurant but they have an extensive menu of pretty much every Thai and fish dish you can imagine, and they do them all well with excellent preparation and flavor. The green mango salad with deep fried catfish was incredible, and the subtlety and richness of their lime coconut curry soup was exquisite.

Design hotel, friendly staff, flexebility As an airline employee I have travelled around the world and stayed in numerous hotels. X2 is not only one of the best I ever stayed in but it is an "experience". I stayed in a pool villa which guarantees 100pct privacy, spacious rooms everything build and finished with high quility material. I have never met more friendly staff, when I made a remark that the only thing I was missing in the hotel were flowers (I meant plants/trees with flowers ect.), a few hours later I found 2 beautifull flowerpieces in my bed-and badroom !!
Since my stay I am the best embassador for the X2 hotels....
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hire a motorbike and explore the area. Avoid Chaweng if you like peace

First impression start when I arrived,group operation manager come to service by himself,very nice.The room very attractive with design.Different than other one.Especially more privacy and great service in all staff. On my birthday I find somewhere with agoda.X2 is our choice and we've make decision to go there and it did not dis-appoint.Our luck that agoda can give cheaper price than other companies so we've had a wonderful time at a cheaper price at X2.I"ld like to say "Perfect". X2 give me a great memory on my birthday.Clean,private,great service and beautiful hotel is the answer of this trip.thank you X2.

Very nice rooms, Excellent reception and customer service manager, in fact all staff very good.
Entire resort very clean and well maintained. Breakfast excellent as was all food in restaurant.
Pool very good and most rooms have an excellent private pool area. Even basic rooms without pool were nice, we spent some time in each. A little bit away from other resort or town areas. This can also be a plus though. This is our second review as the we extended our booking as we enjoyed the time so much. The staff could not have done more to ensure our stay was good. It rained a couple of days we were there and the rooms/ villas were even nice during this with an outside sheltered terrace area to sit in and not get wet. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would recommend it for anyone else.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel's own hire car is excellent although a cheaper option is for them to arrange a smaller older car from outside.

Quiet, attractive location right on the beach. Free WiFi. Large swimming pool. Apple TVs, (including U tube , films and music). Free daily fruit basket. Excellent staff. Pool villas particularly nice. It is 40 minutues away from the airport. Our stay at X2 was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and did all they could to make sure everything was right for us, particularly the customer service manager. The main pool was a good size and set out nicely. The beach starts with a large sandy area and shallow water but then goes out to a more rocky area although with some coral. The entire hotel is very modern in its design and is very nice. We enjoyed our stay very much and extended our time there twice. We would recommend it to anyone else wanting to in that area.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hire a car for some of your stay. Rates start from 900 baht a day.

GM and the whole staff team is very friendly, they try their best to help their guests. Swimming pool is very dirty. Shower is the worst, hot, cold, hot, cold. And they don't know how to fix it. They try to design this hotel different from another normal hotel. Some areas are beautiful such as restaurant and swimming pool. But it's
not easy to do the maintenance. My first couple days not many guests use the swimming pool because
it was very dirty (I quess they did not hire enough staffs to keep facilities in the perfect condition). In-room Apple TV is very good, I love it. Beach is not good for swimming because it's a
rock beach not a sand beach. Hotel offers free Kayak, bicycle and daily shuttle van to Chaweng.
Quiet, privacy, away from crowd plus friendly staffs are what this X2 will offer to their guests.
Restaurant Tip : There is one good restaurant not too far from the hotel call "Nong M". Food is good and very reasonable price.

Secluded Location We absolutely loved our stay at X2. Every detail has been attended to. The general manager was very attentive as were the entire sfaff. The food at the restaurant was delicious. The location is off the beaten track which has its benefits and downsides. We can't wait to return.
Travel tip : Rent one of the hotel's motorbikes and tour the less populated south end of Samui.
Definitely stay in one of the pool suites, they are worth the extra $$!

Privacy assured, quiet, exclusive. Almost had the whole beach & pool to ourselves the 2 nights we stayed. The shower was terrible - water came in spurts-hot-cold-cold-hot-cold. Complained & even after an engineer attended was still the same the second night. The staff was helpful, polite and genuinely friendly
Travel tip : We had rented a car so that made travelling so much easier as the hotel is situated away from where all the action is.

Location is away from the commercial hustle bustle and hence is good for people looking to just be by themselves.
Fantastic Service and Free Kayaking.
Quite Steeply Priced But when you are looking to spend only part of your holiday you can balance it out by cutting expenses elsewhere. Fantastic property with overwhelming service and facilities. We had a Apple TV in our room and it was so much fun. Kayaking is offered free which is a great thing to do.
Staff is superb! Everyone is looking to see how you can be more comfortable!
I recommend that whoever goes to Koh Samui should spend part of their holiday at X2.
The samui aquarium is a walk from X2 by the beach.
THe 4K restaurant has a great view and even kiteboarding is frequently seen.
THe travel time from airport is 45 minutes but totally worth it.
Surely would repeat it if i go to Koh Samui Again!
Travel tip : Just Enjoy The Property, Kayak, The Tiger and Bird Show at Samui aquarium is worth a watch!
Spend 2 nights at X2 to get a feel of the place!
If possible get the pool villa else all rooms are fantastic!

Design of hotel, Pool villa have own huge pool, Relaxing area at the main pool, Room service, Restaurant view, free Shuttle service for going out to city, free bikes, free WIFI :) Pick up service from airport is charged, beach at the hotle is not for swimming usable 'very dirty', Ressort is outside, X2 is a real design hotel, if you do not want to be disturbed and do not like the hectic tourist place you should choose X2. The beach is really the only negative point, so you have to use the pools. We can really recommmend this hotel.
Shopping Tip : Free shuttle service to Lamai beach. Lots of restaurants & shops. At the market they serve homemade Thai food, cheap, good and typical Thai.
