good location, near bus stop and next to the best restaurant in this charming, but very simple town, very low price, big room with aircon. cupboards were not very clean, sometimes a lot of noise from other rooms, staff appeared a bit lazy and passive. Although the town is very simple and a bit isolated through very poor transport opportunities apart from tuk-tuks, we enjoyed our stay. People here are very friendly to tourists and you can eat well and very cheap in restaurant Time next door. The Thale Ban National Park (tuctuc) nearby is a very beautiful nature place and you can by bus to hua hin and by boat to Langkawi or ko Tarutao, although not for 1 day because of very few boats and buses to the harbours! The hotel is simple and old, not that clean but offers acceptable comfort at a very low price.
Restaurant Tip : the restaurant called `Time` just next door to the hotel serves nice food at a very low price, friendly staff there too.

Best feature was location, close to town. Clean sheet and towels provided. Toilet and bathroom needed good clean, dark rooms and hotel areas - all neglected - overall place needs good paint to brighten it up and clean it up. Breakfast was ok - but looked as if it had been cooked early and was dried up. My intention was to stay in the hotel for maybe more than 5 days but unfortunately due to the above reasons 3 days was more than enough.
Travel tip : We found two restaurants virtually on the corner of the hotel - Time nd Steak House - food was good value and enjoyable.

The cost of this hotel, and it's location. It is an older hotel, with the exterior restored, with some painting and image improvements, but the interior, needs, some work.
The Pinnacle, Hotel, seems, to be the only affordable, Hotel, in Satun. It is easy to find and has a good location. The Hotel is a 2 star since it is somewhat rundown, inside. The room, we received via Agoda, was a room with a strong dripping water/running tap, with twin beds, and for 100 THB, I upgraded immediately. Likely the Pinnicale, is the only Hotel it's size, in Satun, and has a captive market, so to speak. I would stay there again, but only one night.... arrive late, and have a couple of drinks, before you head to sleep... the TV's don't appear to work well, the lobby is OK, but the Hotel B-fest is the old cold fare...why can't the small heaters, under the buffet hot plates, ever work....
For the money it is an OK, place if you are wanting to catch the Satun Ferry to Langkawi... other wise, drive somewhere else...sorry a little work would go a long way...
Restaurant Tip : There are two restaurants close to the Pinnacle, on the same side of the road, about 30 meters, away which have pretty good food...
