Clean and spacious. The biggest bed I've encountered!

Limited buffet breakfast - not necessarily an issue - but the distance to anywhere is a drawback. Basically, you're out in a paddock miles from anywhere.

This is quite a modern open planned resort. Rooms were very clean; staff were friendly and helpful. Large LCD TV/DVD player in rooms. Generally the amenities are good. Overall I found two drawbacks. The first is the location. The Internet gives the impression that this hotel is close to the city, but in fact it is about 30 km away. The nearest town is about 8 km, so if you want a supermarket, it's quite a drive. The second is mosquitos. Depending on the season, take a good repellent.

Shopping Tip : The rooms have min-bars. Take your own drinks as the in-house prices are rather high.

good hotel, a bit (20km) outside of the city Guest Rating: 6.7

Impressive architectural design, dramatic scenic view, good location - between two major historical sites, friendly staffs.

Restaurant has limited selections of food and beverages.

We were very impressed with the hotel design. It reflects traditional Thai architecture yet contemporary design. The rice fields and the lotus pond surrounded the hotel make it more charming. The location is perfect for two major historical sites. The room is very nice and comfortable. The staffs are friendly. However, during four days staying at the hotel, there are some difficulties we found, e.g. the moldy bread at the restaurant (twice), the smell of thinner due to the painting at the building and the hotel staff doesn’t do much help until we decided to cancel the room and Agoda stepped in to discuss with the hotel manager, and a malfunctioned air-conditioner in the middle of the night. We got everything fixed, except the air-conditioning because it happened on our last night stay and we didn’t want to bother about it. The hotel manager sent us an apologized letter later on though. After all of these difficulties, we still consider our stay at the hotel is more a good experience than a bad one as the hotel itself is undeniably beautiful and comfortable still. We had a high hope that things will be improved before our next visit.

Nice new hotel with 2 swimming pools and friendly staff

Restaurant did not had too many choices

We stayed here for 2 nights and we enyoyed it. We had a family room, so more then enough space. The bathroom was also well spaced. We had lunch and diner at the resort and that can be one of the improvements. The food itself is good, but not so many choice. We had our own car, otherwise the resort can be far from Old Sukothai town. I can absolutely recommend this resort to others

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : I don't know the name anymore, but we visited the riuns in the north of this resort. Less busy and also very beautiful

Beautiful hotel and grounds, very laid back and quiet, excellent restaurant, airport transfer, breakfast buffet included in price.

Located in the countryside close to airport, had to take taxi to any sites or into town.

Awesome hotel, very beautiful. When my fiance and I arrived at the airport, we were about to get into a taxi, when we noticed an openair shuttlebus with the name of the hotel written on it. My fiance told the driver we were staying at the hotel and he immediately ushered us into the bus and loaded our luggage on. After checking in (just presented the Agoda coupon, and no problem) when the bell boy opened the door to the room, the room had not been made up after the previous occupant. You could tell the bell boy was very embarassed, as he RAN to the front desk, after telling us to wait where we were, and within minutes, he returned with a key to another room. When he showed us into this room, it was a higher class room than what we had booked, all arranged without a word from us. Shortly after settling into the room, a maid showed up at the door with a complimentary fruit plate by way of apology from the management. All in all, my fiance and I were very impressed with this hotel, and would definitely stay there again.

the whole hotel outlook design is very good. And the view from restaurant is beautiful. the reception lady is very kind.

the room is not good. Because we cannot open the door between the bedroom and restroom. In the room we heard the outside people's voices. the hotel

This hotel was constructed recently, and whole hotel design is excellent, especcially the view from robby and restaurant is very beautiful. And there is balcony outside of the room . We can watch the pool from balcony,so that we can feel the comfortable resort feeling. And the pool is very large. But the room's space is a little narrow. And the restroom's door is very tight for opening .

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We could find the large lotus flower's area near the hotel. And we can watch the swan and black swan near hotel's park.

well, it's ok for us. Guest Rating: 7.3

Clean, beautiful landscaping and pools.

Staff was not very helpful or knowledgable about local services. Lack of vegetarian options on menu. thirty kilometres from the bus station and more than that from the Historic Parks.

This is a nice hotel in appearance but its location is so remote that getting anywhere else is extremely difficult. The hotel is close to the airport but planes only fly in from Bangkok so if you arrive by bus from anywhere else in Thailand a large transfer fee is levied by the hotel to make the 30 km trip to the hotel. We were led to believe this service was included with our accomodation and I think it should be. The staff knew nothing about obtaining transportation to the Historical Parks other than what was offered by local tour companies. We were able to find a bus from the airport that went to the bus terminal for a fraction of the cost charged by the hotel- but we discovered that ourselves. The in room brochure states that vegetarian options are available upon request in their restaurant but they were not offerred when we were there. One night I was served a plate of white rice and plain cabbage and still charged the amount for a full dinner. Since thr hotel is so remote and guests have no other dining options I think the menu needs considerable more variety. All in all I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone.

Quiet, good rooms, a quiet pool area, friendly staff.

Only opened in the early part of 2008 the hotel has a few teething problems. We encountered problems with door locks and bath fittings, but they were all solved immediately.

I stayed here with three much younger adults for two nights. We found it totally delightful, though one of my companions was disappointed not to get fresh orange juice. I am sure the hotel will sort out these niggles, but for anyone wanting a quiet, very comfortable time, between Bangkok and Chiangmai, this hotel is ideal. The staff readily arranged a private car for the day to visit the Historic Park, and also private transport for four of us to our hotel destination in Bangkok. Top marks for that.

Travel tip : Just a minute or two out of the gates there are rice fields and acres of lotus. This is the Thailand I remember from the early sixties.

If you want to mix relaxation and tourism in this part of Thailand, this hotel is the right place to stay; but you have to rent a car to share your day between the site (from 8 am to 2 or 3 pm) and the pool (till the night). With the hotel, a car with driver cost 2500 baht a day. But if you only wants to visit the ruins, stay in Sukhothai city (new or old).

Restaurant Tip : We've spent a nice time at the restaurant. The only little bad thing: the singer with her pianist (a bit cheap).
