A bit hard to find ... not necessarily walking distance to major things. I had an early morning flight, and the desk arranged a taxi for me. It was a private taxi company which cost 550 RMB. Over priced, as it might only cost 120 RMB otherwise. In the morning, there were several single travelers who had each arranged for pick up. In retrospect, I wish I had asked them if there were other people with whom they could 'buddy' me with to share a taxi. Most people leave at the same time, as there are only a few flight times.

Good choice if the location suits you.

Stayed seven nights in a standard room. Located about 30 minute walk from town centre or catch the orange bus marked "train station". Food and convenience stores nearby. Friendly and efficient staff and room serviced daily. Downsides are hard mattress (by Thai standards) and no english language on the television. Definitely a good choice if your not bothered by the location.

Everything was nice. The room is clean, it's quiet, secure, and the staff is super helpful and nice. Note, it should only cost 20 baht per person to take a community tuk tuk through town. if they want more than that, just flag one down that is half full. You'll have to walk from the main road to the hotel though, less than 5 min.

Nothign to complain about, everything was clean, nice, and the location is decent. only pay 20 baht for a shared tuk tuk, it'll drop you at the main road and you have to walk down the road about 2 min to get to the hotel.
we just stayed overnight.

Small, new and cheap hotel to stay

This is a convenient place to spend the night in Surat Thani for people who will catch the boat to Koh Phangan or Koh Samui. The place is relatively new. It is small but very functional. The staffs are friendly and helpful. They even helped us to arrange for our transport to Koh Phangan.
One thing though, food is not available as they have no restaurant and there is no food options nearby.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Ask them for the Lomprayah speedboat transpo to Koh Phangan or Koh Samio

i have been in thailand for 2 months, have been to many hotels. centrino is the best one at the price around 500b
its room designer is great, i think, room is not very big, but very comfortable, and colors of everything are well designed, clean and harmonic.
service and housework are very good, everywhere is so clean.
wifi signal is strong, and speed is fast, maybe no too much people there.
only problem is that its location not very good, a little far from the bus station. and there's wasteland before it outside window.
Travel tip:
view: walk across the bridge at north, turn left, it's the river side, beautiful, good place for a walk or sitting.
eat: southward, many small restaurants, mixed meat on rice is great only for 40b.
