big, clean and comfortable room. quite and peaceful ambiance. good services. value for money.
distance from town and no free shuttle bus services. A trip to town cost 80 Bahts per head. Breakfast is too expensive
We are very pleased to have stayed in MaeSot Hill resort recently. the service is excellent and the staff is very attentive. It is a good place for relax and watch the world go by. We hope to come back again in future.
Shopping Tip : to go to town, take one way shuttle at 80 bahts per head. On return, take the whole tuktuk at 80 bahts.

The room decoration is good.
No Wi-Fi or internet is avialable, the hotel room is quite old. The water is yellowish.
The hotel is located a bit far from downtown and restaurants. hotel room is pretty old, and the it has limited access to switch TV channel. There is no Wi-Fi is available in the room. It is available only at the lobby and cafe, but it of course charge you money.
Nightlife Tip : There is a Karaoke in the hotel, incase you are want to relax you can spend time in there...

staff is pleasant, speaks some English and willing to accommodate. Grounds are well kept, lobby open and clean
elevator not working, we were situated on 3rd floor, open areas NOT air conditioned so VERY HOT and HUMID. Rooms didn't have clean feel, and smelled smoky, restaurant not open throughout the day, food below average. They did not greet us with cold drink as they have in the past.
I have stayed at this hotel many times, so it feels like "home" away from home. I was disappointed this time because it felt like they are not keeping it up as they should considering it is the only "good" hotel in Mao Sot. The restaurant was closed most of the time we were there, and when we did eat there food was below average. I requested non-smoking, was put into smoking room and when I asked to be moved they moved me to another smoking room that was a little better. Staff was pleasant and moderately helpful. They offer massage in room, but massage therapists need more training. Overall a disappointment, but will probably stay again because it's basically the "only game in town"
Restaurant Tip : ask around for the restaurant that is built around a lake and has a very tropical, highly maintained garden setting...all outside. It's beautiful and food is good.

The singing girls in the bar - very exiting and entertaining.
Walltowall carpets in the room - not nice or comfortable
Nice hotel with a romantic and good restaurant outside. Winelist a disaster and minus for not speaking english-waiters. Breakfast in hotel OK. Singins girls in the bar-area very exiting and entertaining. But to much dunkel or dark ligthening.Charming and friendly staff all over the hotel. The rooms a little bit small, but nice bathrooms with plenty of hot and cold water for showering. Nice pool-area, but without sunshine most of the day.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Go to see the refugees camp in Mae La camp. Karen-people from Burma.

The best hotel in this city. Meet standard of 4 stars hotel.
Hotel location is superb for tourish who want to visit Thailand border at Tak city. Even hotel is old and lift was out of service (when I stayed during 27-28 Dec 08...and it is high season) but room is clean, nice view, variety choice for breakfast. Sport facility also available in good condition such as swiming pool, 2 tennis courts, snooker, gym and bike for rent.
Shopping Tip : Market at border is not so interesting. Many shops are selling same items. Not worth to visit.

Great food, beautiful pool, comfortable rooms.
Out of town. The beer garden which was out the front of the hotel was not there this time.
This hotel is easy to find with ample parking out the front. The check in was quick and easy. The rooms are comfortable and cool. Our room this time gave us a view over the pool. The pool is fantastic, big and clean. There is ample chairs around it and a bar which you can buy drinks. At night there is a good bar down stairs and even a bit of singing if you dare!! There is something for everyone golf and tennis or movies in your room. Loved our stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If your stop at the Big Tree it is a long steep way down and an even longer steeper way up.

This hotel treats its guests very well. There is a great swimming pool, great bar, beautiful grounds and nice breakfast. All of this at a great price.
It is a little further away from the centre of town.
This is our return visit and the staff gave us a great room overlooking the pool. The rooms are very comfortable, good air/con and TV with lots of channels. The pool is a great temp. to go swimming in as it has the sun on it to warm the water and their is plenty of deck chairs to lay down on. If you want to there is a tennis court and golf thing there you can use. The bar downstairs was well tested by my husband and enjoyed. The breakfast was very nice.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You have to go for a stroll through the town market the sights and smells are amazing.

Hotel was good value, but restaurant staff needs training in customer service and promptness
Restaurant Tip : Order early and clearly and hope when your order eventually arrives, they got it correct

Not directly related to the hotel, but important if you plan to go from Mae Sot to Mae Sariang by car allong the Burmese border:
At the time of our visit (April 2008) it was not possible to find someone willing to drive us to Mae Sariang. If you plan a similar trip please check for border conditions and travel possibilities before booking.

A bit far from town to walk but we had a hired car so we could drive everywhere, no problems
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you go and see the Big Tree between Mae Sot and Tak it is a very steep track down and up.
