Top class hotel in a great location
Beautiful outlook, good quality rooms, excellent breakfast
9.3
We booked an ocean view room at the Anantara Si Kao Resort not knowing what to expect and were pleasantly surprised when escorted to our room and seeing the view from the room. It was a magnificent outlook taking in all the nearby islands. The hotel itself is set in lovely gardens which are well maintained. Breakfast in the garden setting was an enjoyable experience with a good range of food available. The only slightly disappointing aspect was the beach which is not suitable for swimming at low tide although the pool is available.

Great resort in great area of Thailand
Relaxing, private, large rooms with great views, good service of staff
9
Very nice resort which I stayed for three nights during low season. I got an upgrade to Sea View room which I highly recommend to stay in versus the other rooms that face the pool. Easy to move around the resort, the rooms are never too far. Nice happy hour at Beach Bar, very relaxing. The group of singers from Philippine is very good, but they tend to play depressing music, even though it's beautiful they pick slow and depressing songs. THe breakfast is good and all the waiters are super friendly. Great coffee (latte , cappucino) included with breakfast. The internet was free and worked fine.
THe rooms are quite large, comfortable. the towels are old however, they need to be replaced.
Overall very happy with the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Rent a car and explore the area, go to Hat Yao (Yao Beach) it is beautiful and private!!

We booked this hotel instead of another planned resort on an island due to the bad weather and didn't expect much with the hotel which locate on a remote area but we found that everything in the hotel was wonderful. Spa was truly excellent with 50% off price and restaurant served good food with reasonable price as same as when you live in a city not a five stars hotel. We could lie on a day bed by the sea watching incredible panorama view all day and another thing we loved next to Spa and view was Happy Hour that you can buy one get one free.
We really had a very good time here and would highly recommend to friends and families..Thank you

Beautiful environment, great hotel
Friendly staff, great facilities, beautiful coastline

The resort is situated on a very nice beach, full of crabs to entertain the kids. A good selection of dining options and spa services meant we didn't really miss dining out. The resort is quite remote, and without a car it is very difficult to visit anything outside.
During low tide, a huge area can be explored while watching the locals dig for sea creatures.
The kids club could use some more structure. While activities were planned, few actually took place. The mini golf course was full of mosquitos.

Awesome view and excellent staff service
9.3
It was a fantastic experience staying in this hotel for two nights. Three good points 1) the location of the hotel is perfect for those like us who avoid touristy spots and just want a serene and relaxing place to enjoy , 2) wonderful staff who delivered service with personal touch, 3) the gm and resort manager are always out to ensure we were having a good time in the hotel. The beach house cafe and the aqua Italian restaurant are dreamplaces for dining and sipping drinks or eating pizza. Our room has the view of the ocean which was divine. Every night the staff left a fresh leaf on our pillows with a message written in gold ' sweet dreams' and two pieces of chocolate. The girl in the beach house whose name is Air is unbeatable in service, even offering us a romantic table setting for dinner outside the restaurant. It was an unforgettable place because of the way we were taken cared off during our stay from the hotel gm down to the pool assistants. We highly recommend this hotel to couples or families who do jot like noisy or crowded spots in Thailand.

Excellent staff!
Fantastic resort, Very delicious food

I was very very impressed with all the staff here, especially for the manager of the resort. He's very freindly and very approachable. When I stayed there, I was treated so well like I'm a queen! The resort is very beautiful. The room is clean and spacious. The bed is very comfortable and also the bathroom is perfect! The room that I chose was the pool view (but i still saw the beach). So, I could chill out at my balcony and had my drinks. Here, there are Thai and Italian restaurants for you to choose. And the food won't make you disappointed! I recommend you to try every dishes of seafood! One thing is if you come to this resort and you want to go outside, it's quite far from the city (for example if you want to go supermarket to buy something) So, buy all your stuff that you need before you come here.

The perfect hotel - great for children
Location, private beach, pool, gardens, food, service, beach house, cleanliness

a stay at this hotel is a great break from the ordeal of living permanently in thailand. the only sound that can be heard is the lapping of the andaman sea, instead of the incessant roar of motorbikes and pickup trucks racing around the streets. in a country where there is no real concept of customer service, the hotel staff have been trained to deliver customer service to western standards. with no motorised transport and plenty of space it is a safe environment in which young children can play safely. the management and staff couldn't do enough to help. sikao anantara is a perfect first world standard sanctuary in what is still very much a third world country. the hotel represents excellent value in the low season but it is quite expensive in the high season.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Wi-Fi Internet access is quite expensive in the rooms but free in the lobby and beach house areas.

Real getaway in low season.
Location, friendly staff and the Spa
8.7
Located away from busy tourist areas, with some of the best views you will see anywhere.
Was upgraded to Honeymoon room which was more than double what I paid on Agoda. Room very nice, bed comfortable, clean and well appointed.
The Resort is showing it's age with the exterior of the buildings looking worse for wear from the Sea.
The food varied from day to day, from very good to very average, for the same dish!! It just depended what chef was working that day. This was a problem that occured regularly over my 9 nights. No consistance with the food at all.
The Spa was amazing but at 50% discount was still very expensive. The Spa staff were excellent. I have a disc fusion in my neck that was painfull during my stay, the staff talior made a session for me.
We missed going to Koh Kraden because the weather was nasty for a 3 days and my neck. But its looks worth the trip.
All the staff tried hard to make our stay enjoyable.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hot water well, 20klm south is not worth a visit. The place is very old and many buildings falling down. The well is only big enough to dangle your feet in. I went there for heat treatment for neck, only to be dissappointed.
