There is a bridge that connect the Amari Trang to the coastline across the river in front of the hotel but it has been destroyed by a large wave so you have to go a very long way round to get to the nearest shop. We went into Trang which took 45 minutes in a very uncomfortable 'public minibus' but we really don't recommend that. So if you are coming here, expect to stay in the hotel for the full length of your stay. Prices are dear so bring drinks etc. The menu in the restaurant is lovely but limited and it's the same menu every day.
Travel tip : Take snacks with you! A small toblerone was 120 baht.

One of the most stylish places that we've been in. Beautiful design. No obvious cons. We hope the resort keeps up the standards under new ownership. Access to the sea (for swimmers) might be a bit of a problem because of the extensive tidal flats. The resort is slightly 'off the beaten track' which is one of its advantages. Beautiful views over the rugged island rocks that are reminiscent of Halong Bay (Vietnam). Excellent (but pricy) Italian cuisine, the best we've had outside Italy, apparently by a German cook. The interior (rooms, public areas) are beautifully designed and laid-out. A must if you like to relax in a design atmosphere is the library lounge, with a large choice of books in many languages.
Hotel Feature Tip : Tasteful design, offering excellent comfort. A good hideaway if you want to relax and still in the vicinity of the main (marine) attractions of the area

Good clean atmosphere help. Over the plain to the sea. Hotel good คะ frequency of even Renovated. But do better except for a swimming pool, children's area a little less concern to help. Good quiet location help. Staff beaming good atmosphere, tasty food. The less beautiful to the sea. The staff, the staff, the staff! And of course the food ... Could have been a small part of the pool which was protected by the sun. There were of course parasols and sun loungers, but I think if you want to swim when items have burned themselves properly. But it can hardly really be counted as negative, another can of course blame yourself that you are so stupid and burn themselves. A totally wonderful hotels. Have lived in many luxury hotels over the years, but this takes the price ... All of the smallest detail was considered and for customer comfort and satisfaction. Never encountered the word "can not" by the staff. The staff was always in the background, and did so one liked. We had burned ourselves properly in the sun one day, and then we were suddenly waiter with health drinks, etc. (free) which was good for the skin. Just one example like that, but that we even asked for it ... Ok, it can be quite expensive to live there, but it is known fact if you book it, this is luxury. But what was good with this hotel was that this included many activities that would otherwise cost. Ex, you could try scubadiving free, with the instructor (in pool). You could go to another island for free, and borrow bicycles and kayaks (to paddle around in the cozy mangrove swamps items) free, with more and more. The room had a "pillow menu" and mmany different pillows with explanation for each one, ex: the oblong is good if you sleep on the stomach, etc.. Everything in every detail was thought out for the guest's comfort and satisfaction, this was just a few examples, there is really how much any time rattling off the I not found in other luxury hotels that were exceptional for this, it was not the usual "candy on the pillow "only (although there were too). The food was fantastic also, is usually always in restaurants to find any weak point, that "this right was not their big shot" items. But here we tested around virtually all (IAF at their restaurant "leelavadee" tested everything) and everything just sat and enjoyed. I can recommend this hotel. I said before the trip to Thailand that this was the last time I go to Thailand (I have been here 6 times before, thought it was time to give others a chance), but we will come back because of this hotel's sake ...

The car service was also the New Year in Thailand. They are well done and useful in terms of road traffic. Employees do not speak Japanese.
