Busy and loud. Lots of charter tourists and families. Restaurant less charming than any school cafeteria.
We were told this would be a high point of our trip, but boy were we disappointed. Friendly and helpful staff, but that's about it. Isolated, but crowded. Filled with loud and rude charter tourists this place has lost the soul it might have had at one time. Completely without character or charm. Fairly good looking beach, but nothing special by Thai standards. The island doesn't offer much worthwhile to see or do but is still overcrowded. Expensive tours. The restaurant got our order wrong thrice (and gave us the desert before we'd gotten the starter) before we gave up and had what we were given. We left early and definitely won't be coming back.

Nice and clean.
Good buffet dinners.
Somewhat expensive restaurant.
We enjoyed our stay very much. No complaints at all on the bungalows. Nice pool with children pool too. And the beach is excellent, very good for children.
Travel tip : Do not miss the Emerald cave, or snorkeling at Koh Hai.

Bring the things you want to the island, there is only a very small shop in the resort with very few items for sale (expensive too).
Restaurant Tip : Go to the small restaurant on the cliff on the beach. Very good and cheap food, nice place to sit and watch the sunset at.

We found Charlie's to be the best option on the island since it's comfortable and more reasonably priced than Sivalai on the other side.
Restaurant Tip : We found the best Thai food restaurant to be the one behind Charlie's. If you walk past the minimart it's the first restaurant on the left. It doesn't look like much but the food is great.
