First opening its doors in 1972, the recently renovated Pathumrat is a majestic property. Located in the town center, the hotel is close to the Robinsons shopping mall. Places to visit include the Thung Si Muang Park, temples such as Wat Thung Si Muang and Wat Pah Nanachat. Despite being surrounded by historical monuments and natural attractions, the hotel itself includes all mod-cons, from meeting rooms, a glitzy pub and a swimming pool to name a few. If traveling to Ubon Ratchathani and looking for a luxurious place in the center of town, then Pathumrat Hotel should definitely be considered.

The VIP Suite has to be seen to be believed, very clean, absolutely enormous and amazing.The swimming pool is beautiful The staff are all exceptionally friendly, helpful and polite - othing is too much trouble. The location is central.
The building is shabby and in need of repair and the frontageand the corridors are not very attractive.
We were very impressed with this hotel. It was pretty much as described and very comfortable. We asked for a kettle to be provided in the room - when one arrived it was new! But arrive it did along with tea bags etc. WE asked for drinks around 10.30pm - again the staff were happy to serve us - even opening a bottle of wine! the cost was very reasonable too!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The park and candle statue are well worth seeing.

Bathroom bit tired, no room service menu I saw
One of the best hotels in Ubon. Busy 3-4 star hotel with impressive entrance. Staff particularly helpful (TOM). They helped me organise two days of sight-seeing and another manager printed off a map for my forwarding hotel. Rooms reasonable to good and pretty much what you expect from this level of hotel.
Travel tip : The God bar. Turn right out of hotel and keep walking over three roads until road goes down to river. On right, God bar has Premiership football and good food and a young crowd. Live music from a variety of bands. Good place to hang out, meet the locals, watch football and get a decent bite to eat.
