Excellent
Good quality rooms, good breakfast, quiet location, good laundry service, guests well looked after
9.7
Excellent mixture of traditional Thai but with all western comforts. Rooms are very good quality including a comfortable bed (not the hard bed of most traditional Thai resorts), spotlessly clean, bathrooms are large and functional, air conditioning worked well, breakfast choice according to guests preferences including being provided at guests preferred time, location nice and quiet although perhaps 10Km from centre of Udon Thani.

Rom very nice and food is delecious
9.3
This is a nice small and charming resort in the country side close to Udon Thani. The location is very quiet and relaxing. The owners are very friendly and gave us a lot of information about the area and where to go what to visit. In the evening we had a very delicious dinner on our balcony. The breakfast in the morning was very good as well. Really very much recommended to stay here for some days and relax. Thank you very much STC

Excellent food. Attentive service. Understated. Hosts aim to please.

We were picked up at the airport as requested. We stayed 2 nights at the home stay. It's a taste of rural Thailand. Use one of the bicycles or motorbikes to explore back roads without much traffic. Your hosts will provide good suggestions for the local sites and they offer car tours if that is more your thing. Its a home stay with privacy TV internet etc. Highly recommended.

Wonderful Homestay
Breakfast, Chris, Toni and Jet
9.3
This is a beautiful homestay on the southwest edge of Udon Thani ( route 210 past Big C and Tesco).
Great breakfast with your stay and then a dinner offering if you choose. Staff are great...can provide all the assistance you need. Chris came and rescued me at night when I got lost. Pickup at the airport, train or bus terminal for a very reasonable fee. Scooters available to rent. Could have stayed there and explored All of Udon Thani another week
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Do explore the local temples nearby. I loved Nong Khai and the Mekong!

Great out of town location, rooms are perfect.
Quite simply, I think Tony, Christine, and Jet, were put on this earth to be the perfect host/hostesses.
9.7
As it was so highly recommended to us by a friend, we had to try it,and it turned out to be the perfect place to relax in a serene location, the rooms, food and host/hostess was just perfect, will surely go back, but for longer next time, and real value for money, we come away a very happy couple, Thank you Tony, Christine, and Jet.
Travel tip:
Recommend get up in the morning early, have a tea/coffey in the room, then get out the bicycles see the sun up and witness the country calmness of the area, then back to base for a hearty b/fast of your choice

Great hosts, amazing food and beautiful area
Location (countryside near a lake), generouse and tasty breakfast, great dining, spacious and clean room with cable TV and a selection of movies to watch
9.3
Home Stay is located near a small lake outside of the city of Udonthani. It's a perfect location if you're just transiting through or if you're wanting to get away from the concrete jungle to enjoy some quiet moments in the pleasurable countryside of Udonthani (Call them for directions!!) The hosts speak a number of languages and will spoil you with their hospitality. We received fresh fruit on arrival and a number of maps and tips to explore the area. If you decide to dine at STC Home Stay you will not regret it. The portions are more than generous and the quality of the food is outstanding. If we're ever back in the area, we would certainly come back to stay at Home Stay STC Bed and Breakfast.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Watch the sun set over the lake.

at the time of booking, this was the highest rated property in udon so i thought i must give it a try to see what's so special. thanks to my trusty gps, i found the place with no problem. chris was on hand to welcome us with a plate of cold watermelon - very nice and refreshing after a 2 hr motorbike ride in the hot sun. we immediately felt at home and the superior bedroom has a lovely verandah to sit out in and enjoy the garden view.
we had planned to check in and then go into udon for a look see and some food but the place was so comfortable that we decided to have tony cook up some steak and pasta for our dinner. great decision - the food was superb and my thai wife who is normally a small eater ate with absolute gusto and proclaimed it was the best carbonara she's ever had. two 1 liter carafe of wine, two starters, two main meals and one huge banana split later, we could hardly walk (and you would not believe how reasonable the price was).
kept us entertained throughout dinner with stories of their previous careers as well.
we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have loved to stay longer but time did not permit. i will definitely return in the near future but worry about the extra kilos i will put on - but it will be worth it.
Travel tip:
sorry, no tip forthcoming as we did not leave the place at all, it was so comfortable and relaxing.
