A peaceful escape from the city 7.3 The hotel is a little out of the town centre but offers a free water taxi in and out of town. It's a good place to base yourself for locally exploring and also having a pool to sped a few afternoon hours at. Our only real issue with this hotel was the price of the catering. We hadn't booked breakfast in advance and were told it was US$23 ppn which I frankly struggle with understanding in London or Paris hotels never mind Vietnam where the food prices are very low. To put some perspective around this we had dinner and drinks in a very nice restaurant in town and it cost less that $20 for 2 people. Anyway enough about the cost of food and drinks, other than that the hotel was lovely and the pool was just wonderful after a hot days exploring. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Be careful of the boat trip ladies on the waterfront in town. We negotiated a good price on a safe looking boat but when we came back we were shown to a boat in very poor condition. We obviously refused to go and fortunately hadn't paid anything in advance. Can Tho tourist can arrange boat trip which are a little more expensive but we got a fantastic guide and a good solid boat with life jackets!

Groups Australia, March 10, 2012	my favourite hotel in the world ambience, decor, location, staff, comforts, pool, surroundings 9.7 this is the 3rd time i have stayed at this beautiful french colonial hotel. for me it is reason enough to visit cantho. it is absolutely beautiful and you are treated like royalty the minute you arrive. the lobby area is breathtaking. the rooms are also very nice - try and get one overlooking the pool/mekong if you can although the garden view rooms are still very nice. breakfast is extensive and would loads of variety. i especially love their water taxi to take you up to town - very nice in the evening to go up and back for dinner. Restaurant Tip: Sao Hom Restaurant - up to your left as you are getting off the water taxi. The Fixed menu is really good - it is a lot food though - 2 people could easily share.

Groups Germany, July 29, 2010	beautiful relaxed location location: out of town but easy access, right on the mekong, amazing pool that is not overchlorinated, staff very helpful and friendly 9.3 From when we first arrived, i loved this hotel. we were upgraded to a deluxe free of charge (because the hotel was pretty empty i think, out of season). Felt so relaxed. AMAZING breakfast buffet. lovely staff. views are beautiful and free shuttle boat to town is super practical Hotel Feature Tip: concierge extremely helpful with all queries. though expensive you can rent a boat and driver from there so if you want to do a trip and not the package, thats an option. very flexible.

Groups France, June 12, 2012	Cadre tres agréable et personnel de grande qualité Excellent petit déjeuner, piscine très agréable 9 Hotel de style colonial, decoration charmante, et piscine permettant de se détendre. Très calme. Un peu en dehors du centre mais navette en bateau sur le Mékong mis à disposition par l'hôtel pour rejoindre le centre en quelques minutes. Tres large choix et buffet délicieux pour le petit déjeuner.

Yamaguchi Y. Groups Japan, August 24, 2012	ロケーションが良いホテルが綺麗 9.3 サイゴンから船をチャーターしてカントーに入ったが、ホテルの桟橋に着岸できたことや、朝の船上市場などの船もホテルまで、来る事ができるのはトテモ良いと思った。ちなみに私は今までに３回ビクトリアホテルを利用しているがトテモ、感じが良いホテルである。うっかり、現金をホテルの部屋にわすれてしまったが、迅速に対応してもらってありがたかった。
