nice and clean hotel, slightly outside the city
fair price in a difficult location for good hotel
6
it was a nice place with a good value for its price. Not so close to the "city center", but still ok on foot. A good happy medium between the Victoria and the budget hotel on location. In my opinion is the best solution to overnight in Chau Pho before taking the fast boat to Cambodia.

Nice Hotel, but don't believe the non-smoking ad.
6.7
we spent two nights here, as part of a visa renewal trip from cambodia. the hotel was ok, and the manager was very nice and helpful, and also spoke enough english to get by. however, like so many other hotels in asia, rather than actually having non-smoking rooms -as advertised - their idea of non-smoking is to remove the ashtrays and spray the room. the cigarette smell was awful. finally, after moving several times to different rooms, we found an older room on the fifth floor that may have been an actual non-smoking room over the years.
another reason i chose the hotel was for the two tennis courts. the courts appeared to be in excellent condition and they keep very busy. so busy, i wasn't able to access them during my stay, although i was in error by not reserving a court when i had the opportunity.
the breakfast offers good variety and fresh food and bread, however, it only runs from 0545 to 0845 hours, so be advised.
Travel tip:
Do Not eat at the restaurant 30 meters down the street from the hotel, on the same side, unless you don't mind constant attacks from insects, and the necessity of removing them from your food every few seconds.

Chau Doc is just a place you need to get too to take the boat to get to Phnom Penh not a huge amount going on here the hotel was a place to stay clean and tidy but the karaoke bar across the road could be a problem if it gets going breakfast was ok staff helpfull

Easy transfer point, nice & clean
Front desk staff had good communication
7.7
Rooms were clean. Ours faced the road opposite a blaring doof doof disco thru the double glazing.
BreakkyStaff good & single course enough, club sandwich, noodles & egg ordered between all to satisfaction.
Visit to Sam mountain organized quickly as with coordinating boat payment & pickup.
Travel tip:
Restaurant selection...down the road a bit minimal but for one night ok

Stylish new hotel with good service
Great rooms, centrally located
9.3
Looks like a brand new hotel and as such everything was new in the rooms, which were stylish and spacious. Our room was located off central living space on the second floor. The hotel is almost hidden off the street opposite where the boats arrive in Phnom Penh from the Mekong Delta and where the buses leave for Siem Reap. Walking distance to most of the good bars and restaurants. Would stay again.
