The hotel is very romantic, colony style no air condition, breakfast is extra. Dalat is small but nice city, a lot of place with nature, flower, waterfall, mountain, forest, canal, souvenirs, people. Place for relax.

Beautiful old building. Excellent staff & amenities. This is a fantastic hotel. The rooms are very clean, WiFi internet works as do all other advertsied options and hotel features. The hotel has easy access to the centre of town and all other Dalat attractions and it is very easy to get a cab. Staff are excellent and the views from my room were great. This hotel made my stay in Dalat an absolute pleasure. Top class.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The restaurant across the road has a French atmosphere and is excellent. Look for the replica Eiffel tower on the other side of the road.

Good location, Good service at front desk & at restaurant. Free WiFi access. No air-con but with the cool weather of 20 degree C who needs the air-con. Move into Novotel Dalat from HCMC and had a great and very comfortable stay in this hotel though the room is small but very cosy. Was given a free and good 60 mins massage in a nice massage parlour. Dinner and breakfast were great. Free WiFi access was fast. Since there's no air-con, the honking of the vehicles could be disturbing especially in the night but still acceptable. It is a pity I only stay for a night coz I was moving to Mui Ne the next day. Wish I could stay longer in this hotel.
Travel tip : Remember to visit Crazy House (a tourist attraction) not very far from Novotel Dalat.

Food was good, and our promotion included a free massage Rooms are a bit bare and small, although authentic The location was quite good, and the rooms at the back of the hotel had a great view. The cafe across the road, although expensive did serve very nice food. The transportation service was punctual and well organised. The staff were very friendly and organised anything that you required. The only thing that rated against the hotel was that the rooms were quite small, but that would not stop me from returning to the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We booked a day trip with Groovy Gecko which was excellent.

Interesting, period building. Hotel organises good value individual tours of the area. A good value way of staying at the upmarket Sofitel over the road. The Novitel is really a wing of it - guests can use the retaurants and facilities of the Sofitel. Part of the appeal of Dalat is its colonial past and staying at the Novitel makes you feel part of it. The hotel certainly doesn't present like part of an international hotel chain.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Include the Crazy house, railway station and palace in your walks out from the hotel. The hotel's photo copied map is not the best.

close to the road & a bit noisy price is very good with free airport pickup, free massage, free internet & discount in hotel restaurant. Good service as well. Clean & tidy room, elegant & historical lift in hotel lobby, just a bit noisy for those rooms next to road & a bit far away from market, others are very good.

The cute old fashioned lift! No A/C or way to circulate air at night
Room over looked the road and couldnt leave the windows open without a lot of noise.
Room is smallish but adequate. Fine because we got such a great rate! I enjoyed my time at the hotel. I loved the proximity and links to the french cafe across the road and the Sofitel Dalat. We were given free massages due to booking through Agoda.
The staff were very attentive and helpful. All the services were above average.
Major draw back was the lack of fans or a/c. Didnt really need it temperature wise however we needed to circulate air at night because the room was stuffy. Because our room opened onto the road couldnt leave the window open at night - too noisy - also problems with mosquitos.
Restaurant Tip : The french cafe across the road is fantastic and if you can afford it - splash out for dinner at the Sofitel palace!

very nice staff. We took a night bus to Dalat, when we asked for early check-in, the staff immediately arranged us a room for rest. very thoughtful...although the room is not big, it was comfortable...

The room (superior) was nice and the staff was professional and kind My wife and I stayed three weeks without any problem and we were very satisfied. The room was comfortable, with enough space. The staff was kind and very friendly. Wireless internet was stable and we used almost every day.

Hotel Staff - we cant get concrete and accurate information abt the price of local tour and the bus information, and that bother us so much!
Room - TOO SMALL!! and not enough electric sockets for us to charge cameras, phones and laptop...... This hotel is located quite far away from the central area. It takes a 15-minute walk and the path is really quiet and scary at night. There are quite a number of hotel choices right in the central area!! Besides, we booked a local tour through the hotel. We found that the fee suggested by the hotel staff is quite high from the surprised look of the tour guide. (but it was too late to negotiate when we knew that it could hv been cheaper) Another thing that upset us is abt the bus to Mui Ne. We asked them abt the bus information on the first night we arrived. that fat guy told us he would tell us the next day. when we asked abt it on the second night. another hotel staff told us there's only bus every day at the same time. but then another staff has told us that there's another bus at noon..... I dunno which staff got the correct information but that really made us angry and confused!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : DaLat is just a very small town. I do not recommend local tour! you can get a taxi very easily and enjoy the place fully.

Front Desk reception was efficient and the staff could converse clearly in English. The architecture of the building together with the furnishings brought me back in time.
There is a lounge area where you can relax with some reading. There was no air conditioning in the guest room. While it was cool in the evenings, especially sleeping with the windows open, it can get a little warm in the afternoon. But it was still ok. The noise of traffic takes a little getting used to, though. My 3 nights stay at the Novotel Hotel Dalat was not what I'd expected --- it was better! It was so relaxing. It took me back to the old colonial days. Dining at the Cafe de la Poste was also a pleasure. Everything was unhurried and I could take in the fresh air, sights and sounds in and around the hotel.
The hotel staff was really 5-star.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Although the hotel has map of the Dalat with the attractions in English it is better to ask the reception write the names of the attractions in Vietnamese. The taxi driver may not know. I called the hotel on the driver's phone so that they could direct him.
Try the loaf with vegetable and thin meat stuffings from stalls along the side road next to the hotel. Take with Vietnamese coffee. Simple but good breakfast.

good location . clean . friendly room services : i ask for 1 more blanket but they gave me 3 pancakes. it's so funny! i 'm glad that when i stayed in this hotel again they upgrate my room at once and give me a free spa for 60 mins.especially they have airport transfer.
by the way the hotel's breakfast buffet is very good . just 8 us dollars. i suggest that guests should try it . it 's the best hotel in dalat!
Restaurant Tip : don't eat the food in the market . be careful the vietnam people like to reuse the noodles and the vegetables . they love to have cool noodles and i found that after the customers finished the meal . they will reuse the noodles and the vegetables that they left . it's really terrible !

It would be great if breakfast is included. Everything you expect in novotel are included. It's a classic hotel and the price is reasonable: very nice and helpful staff, clean room with everything you need, free pick up service from the airport and free 1-hour massage! We can see the "Eiffel Tower" from our room and it's very near to Sofitel Palace and Xuan Huong Lake. The only pull factor is that standard room is rather small.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You can ask the staff to arrange tours for you.

staff was very accommodating, even offered free shuttle from hotel to airport location was a bit far from town, rooms were small and old Overall a pleasant stay. At first the rooms we got were old and very small, but after talking to the front desk they moved us up from the second floor to the third free of charge. Decor was nice, location was a bit far from the central part of the town. Service staff was very helpful and front desk staff were nice as well.
