I've stayed at Saigon Dalat Hotel twice now and have always been pleased with the spacious rooms, lovely clean standards, and this time I had a wonderful view of the surrounding neighbourhood and sunrise over the hills. It is located a 10-15minute walk from the main square but away from the traffic noise and fumes which is good after a day of sightseeing. The pool is refreshing and clean, and upstairs my colleagues and I also enjoyed the fitness room and table tennis area. There is free Internet and newspapers, and a great breakfast with varied menu over a week. I have stayed here as a conference-goer, as well as a tourist- both times the staff have helped me with various tour or travel requirements.
Shopping Tip:
The Da Lat Market is great for some gentle bargaining and interaction with local sellers.

when we arrived it became clear that we were one of the few guests. apart from 4-6 other guests the hotel, that caters for about 60 rooms was empty. staff were very friendly. with so little guests in off-season i'd recommend the hotel to let go of the breakfast buffet concept but cook to order instead!! i only ordered freshly fried eggs and toast because i just didn't trust the quality of the other food. could have been recycled for a couple of days...

The best hotel and Service Team in Dalat
Rooms are commodious and well planned. Breakfast is great. Location is right. Personal is very service oriented

the only problem you may experience is the internet connection. if you're coming on business do not expect to have great internet connection. nevertheless, the personal will do whatever they can to fix it.
overall - this is one of the best hotels in vietnam and i highly recommend everyone to stay there.
Hotel Feature Tip:
There is very noisy night club... If you want to fall asleep before 2 am - ask to give you a room opposite site of the night club.
The noise insulation between room is desired to be better... Be aware that if you do not control your voice level - your neighbors will hear every single word you say!

it earns it's four star rating, but don't get a room over the disco, the swimming pool is open 24 hours if you like to do laps at odd hours its a easy walk to the market once you know the way! lots of great little resturants serving such oddities as ostrich and crocdile and of course flowers are everyware.
Nightlife Tip:
Avoid Dalat during the peak of the Rainy Season as it does rain quite Hard and the Knitted items in the Market are of good value.
