Excellent staff and general manager. Great Buffet Breakfast. The cost of food and services at the resort were good relative to Australian prices.

Dated, No wifi in room and broadband internet cost $10.00 USD per day (there was free wifi in the lobby), Old CRT TV.

When we first arrived i was a little disappointed with the condition of the place considering the price. The TV was old, the kettle did not turn off when boiling (almost boiling dry) and the room we were in looked in need of renovation, The bathroom was in good condition, howevever, there was no bath (shower only). We decided to have a drink and some spring rolls for lunch. The spring rolls were completely frozen in the middle, I let the staff know (who were very apologetic and brought some more out)... which had a large hair siting on the top of them. By this time i had had enough and went to see the manager Duncan. Duncan bent over backwards to help us out and got everything running smoothly again, offered to upgraded our room (which we ended up accepting) or find us alternative accomodation in the area. We didn't expereince any further problems with the food, it was all top notch, the breafast especially. The staff were exeptional particularly Duc in the bar (Hi Duc). There had just been a typhoon through Da Nang and the whole area was quite devastated. As the whole area seems to be a torist trap I probably won't be back to Da Nang as you have to be on your guard all the time, except in the resort which is a little oasis in the mayhem. On checkout I did feel that the welcome wore out when we were no longer paying. Over all left feeling a little disapointed dispite Duncans best efforts. This review may be a little hard on the resort as it has been coloured by the chew them up spit them out tourist experience in the area

Shopping Tip : Watch the shopping and tours to Da Nang, Hoi An, Marble Mountain. Tours through the hotel take you straight to places to strip you of your money. Marble mountain shops charge more than the Da Nang airport shops, total tourist trap. The tailor shop at the front of the resort produced very poor quality work.

The beach at the Furama is outstanding and very quite as at present it is the only hotel for miles, but this is going to change as there is planning for 25 resort hotels on this stretch of beach

The hotel is a little isolated and bar drinks over priced.

there were 3 couples in our party and all enjoyed having the beach to ourselves, but in the evening it was a little too quite so we went to Hoi An by taxi at a cost of £15 return for the 6 of us in one taxi.Hoi An is a great place to shop and very cheap to eat and drink.

Travel tip : Go to Hoi An for shopping and eating. On the way you could stop and see the marble factory outlets which are outstanding and very cheap.

Fantastic Beachside location. 5* Accommodation.

Too far away from Hoi An. Weak on service.

Although the hotel itself is a great building and the rooms are 5* standard, we had a sense that the staff were generally poorly trained and there was very little attention to the details that make a difference between 4* and 5* service. Dull drinks and cocktails in the bar were served with no flair. To get service on the beach we had to walk up to the terrace bar. The concierge was unable to advise on places to visit outside the hotel. We did receive some very good service from some individual staff, but that seemed to be because they were using their own initiative, not that it was a culture in the hotel. Just doesn't make the 5* grade from a service perspective.

Nightlife Tip : Visit Hoi An in the evenings for excellent selection of restaurants and bars at reasonable prices. Taxi from hotel well worth it.

Excellent facilities Great pool Friendly staff

Bar very expensive and staff didn't speak great English

Overall a very comfortable hotel. Clean and modern with excellent facilities. Great setting with nice beach and stunning infinity pool. Very good service and good restaurant facilities. Extensive breakfast - you can eat anything from noodle soup to steak to sushi to standard breakfast fare. Only negative was expensive bar with inexperienced staff. Overall highly recommended.

Great facilities, amenities and decor Attentive staff

Level of English comprehension with some staff needs improvement

This was my first ever visit to Vietnam and this resort was really beyond expectation. It proved to be a real pleasure to stay in but made one feel slightly guilty as the setting outside the gate remains a throwback to a previous era. The setting and decor may not be faulted and the staff are very attentive, but this last factor would be better if their comprehension of English was better with some members. If you are into diving, please be aware that the season stops at the end of September and no trips are available again till January owing to the monsoons making the seas rough. Also, access to dive sites is made by a slowish boat accessed by jet ski. Traffic outside the resort is best described as chaotic, with scant regard paid to road rules. Don't drive or pilot a motorbike unless you have steely resolve - it's best to let a local take you around.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Trip to Hue needs a good 2.5 hours by car and there are sights to see en route, but beware kamikaze drivers of other vehicles and souvenir touts at any place stopped at

+ Professional service + Helpful staffs + Beautiful Environment + The best location

Little bit far from the downtown

I will return to this resort again and continue to recommend my colleagues, friends and relatives to book this holtel for business and leisure. I also recommend to anyone who would will like to improve his/her health. I felt so strong for a week stay by daily routine: waking-up a 5:30 AM and jogging on the beach to 6:30AM, swimming in the ocean til 7:00AM, after that having breafast. Finally, i am ready at 8:00AM for my business activities. the most important thing is its enviroment to enable and motivate you to do so.

Nice beach

Rude staff, idiotic notices in the room, impossible internet. Overall hostile attitude towards guests. A high priced insult to customer service.

If you are a glutton for punishment you will love this place. This place is all about money, specifically how to suck it out of you, the unfortunate guest. Once you get to the room you will see these foolish & insulting little notices not to remove the towels (or you will get charged), that if you make off with the hats in the room you will get charged (stuff that actually costs next to nothing but for Furama it is a big deal). I guess maybe one person discovered how to get the internet in the room for free (at great loss to the hotel?) so now it takes the prize as the Most Complicated Internet Setup in the World, taking a tech guy from the hotel 15 minutes to actually make a connection! The beach is nice but nothing you can't enjoy at Hoi An for half the price. So all in all Furama is more bother then it's worth; it had a monopoly for years on China Beach but that will change next year when Life Resorts opens their place next door. This visit was my fourth (not that the staff is counting or even cares) and definitely last visit.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Tam's Surf Shop is nearby if you want to rent a surf board.

Lovely rooms, modern with all the conveniences and we only had the Garden rooms! Great food, pools, and water sports(cats, windsurfers and kayaks, as well as the jetskis!)

Expensive! Games room down the back of beyond; needs some work, library not actually open and massage pretty amaturish after many other places.

Five star so expensive but had everything a family could want: and all top quality and new. I have been looking for watersports on a beach holiday, many places say they have it but have a volleyballnet and a couple of jetskis. Furama has it all, and arranges trips: diving, Hoi An, mountains; whatever you want. Bars and lounges superb, food great, pools and equipment in Gym and on beach top notch. Staff friendly and helpful

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hoi An definitely worth the trip but be careful of the tailors; they are not all as good as they seem. Make sure you have enough time to get alterations done!

Nice Hotel, spacious rooms, the breakfast is excellent.

The front staff arent very helpful and there seems to be a lack of communication between them. I booked a stay between the 4th to the 8th of May and was asked to leave on the 6th of May as there was a mix up. The staff wanted to block my room, in the end I had to bring one of my Vietnamese friends to explain the situation to them. The main women who works at the reception is very stubborn and was agressive towards me. Once the situation was resolved she apologised to me several times. But in conclusion nice hotel but the quality of staff is very low. I believe a hospitality training school is required in this country.

My stay at Furama Resort was just ok, I would never stay there again. The Hotel itself is nice but the quality of staff is very poor. If this is the number one hotel in Danang, I would hate to see the worst. Next time I come to Vietnam in January I will be staying in Hoi An, until all the staff are well trained similar to western standard.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : In Vietnam there are a lot of good places for a nice massage. I found a better place than the Hotel's massage for a cheaper price. So, I would reccommend looking outside the Hotel if you would like a massage.

Pool and restaurant.

Not much to do there.

Large hotel and great staff. Beach and pool are perfect and the bar in the evening has live music every night. The staff are brilliant but they add a service charge for everything you book. The rooms are first class. However there isn't anything to visit except for the museum and we were traveling to Hoi An each night 30 mins away. Unless you wish to visit Dalang stay in Hoi An.

Hotel Feature Tip : Live music each night.

A bit of luxury. Guest Rating: 8.7

Beautiful resort, wonderful facilities, nice swimming pool.

The room only had a shower, no bath, not a big deal really but unusual for a five star resort!

Furama is a beautiful resort. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready but there was plenty to do around the resort and on the beach, swimming, water sports and beauty treatments. The staff in the hotel were always very helpful, they brought a bottle opener to our room to open beers we had bought ourselves and even showed us how to open them using a teaspoon. The room was beautiful and there was fresh fruit left for us everyday. A wide variety of food was available for breakfast.

Restaurant Tip : There are restaurants in the hotel but if you feel like a change (or they are too expensive!)take a taxi from outside the hotel to Hoa's Place on Non Nouc Beach near The Sandy Beach Resort. Great fresh food for very little, try the noodles!!! You can also stock up on snack food in the shops on the same road.

Danang is a very local town and not touristic. But it has no nightlife at all. The town closes down around 22:00.

Hotel Feature Tip : Check out the hotel bar and it has a daily happy hour. Very reasonable prices. It also has a live band.

Hotel security staff intrude on guest privacy. Keeping hotel guest passport at front desk during stay is not necessary. No other hotel in the world does this. My passport was not returned upon checking out. After departing for airport, had to return to hotel to retrieve passport.
