Royal Hotel Danang, Danang

Hotel staff were very kind to support customers. Massage room & service of this hotel was better than others. But I could not use my PC via ADSL lines as the line was not supported. Only WiFi is available.

MY FIRST TIME IN VIETNAM VERY WARM PEOPLE . THIS HOTEL IS LOCATED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY NEAR IT ALL. YOU CAN WALK TO THE MALL. THEY HAVE A BAR/CLUB NEXT DOOR ALSO APARTMENTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR LARGE GROUPS WITH FULL KITCHENS.THEY HAVE INTERNET SERVICE IN THE LOBBY AND THE STAFF IS TO DIE FOR THE WENT WAY OUT OF THERE WAY TO SPEAK ENGLISH AND TRANSLATE ALL MY REQUEST. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THE CUTOMER SERVICE FROM THESE WARM PEOPLE.

After realising our room at the Royal Hotel Danang severely stank of cigarettes and requesting a change we were punished by being moved to another room that smelled of damp, was much smaller, had no window and a much smaller ensuite instead of a bathroom. The porter who showed us to our "new" room giggled behind his hand as he asked "This room OK?" The shower was not separately recessed and therefore sprayed water over the whole ensuite floor and its fixtures. There was no drain in the floor so the shower water flowed onto the carpet in the room. No wonder the room smelled damp! Danang further disappointed when we attempted dinner across the road at Kingston Restaurant. We were told it was closed as we arrived (it was close to 9pm) and then were told by another person (I think the owner/manager) that it was ok to dine there. We ordered a beer which was served at room temperature, some fish, rice and green vegetables. Only the fish arrived. When we enquired after the rice and vegetables we were told that there wasn't any! Clearly, the chef had gone home before we arrived and the owner thought he could bleed a few bucks out of some dumb foreigners anyway. He was right!
