Haiphong is not known for tourism but we thought we would add it to our trip for this reason. It was a good idea as it allowed us to see how a "normal" Vietnamese city functions. But this also means not a huge offer of hotels unlike Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Given the context, I would recommend Huu Nghi Hotel.
