Prominent location, friendly and helpful staff, really great bar, good service and good cocktails and prices.
The Tray Hotel was one of the best hotels we've stayed at in Vietnam. It was worth the money and was up to standard for a 4.5 star hotel.
The buffet breakfast range was broad and provided a great view from the top restaurant. The cocktail bar provided western style cocktails for the best price we've seen so far in Vietnam.
Overall, a pleasant and wonderful stay, we'll definitely be back if we're ever in Hai Phong again.

Roof top views. Nice room.
It was a business hotel and lacked the friendliness we found in many of the other hotels we stayed in in Vietnam.
The room was just fine. We were not expecting a 'business hotel' so were quite surprised. The hospitality attitude was more aloof than at many smaller hotels we stayed at. The hotel was a little further from the main section of town and the water than we would have preferred. The roof top gives great views over the city.
