Great hotel, great people !

We had a great time staying at Halong Plaza Hotel. There are 4 familes with very small children and old grand parents. We were all very happy with their service. We felt as we were at home. Thank you very much, Halong Plaza Hotel. Definetly come back if we go to Halong. However, the location is not so close to center of Halong (quite far by walking), but it was not a problem because we had our cars.

Lovely hotel with breathtaking views of Halong Bay

We arrived and was blown away by the view from our room over the bridge and Halong Bay. The room size was massive, with nice decor and all modern furniture etc. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent, we ate there every night as there was a buffet and a la carte which was great. We also went on a 2 day cruise run by the hotel to see Halong Bay which was beautiful and a great experience.

Visit Halong Bay on the hotel's ship the 'Serenya'

A relatively modern hotel which gives the immpression of trying to be a 5 star facility but fails mainly due to the standard of the staff (too many trainees) They are adequate for a 3/4 star hotel but not more
On arrival we wqere given a room with a very strong musty smell. We were moved to the otherside of the corridorinto a room which was full of newly sprayed airfreshener (just in case). However this meant we were overlooking a building site
Good buffet dinner but quality of food only adequate

We travelled as a family of 5 and had to stay in 3 separate rooms which wre all on the same floor but not next to each other so a little annoying. Wouldn't want to do that with young children

this hotel is comparable to novotel. its slighly cheaper, but the room is slighly less luxury but still great and comftable. the pool is great and the views are still good without a balcony. the shower is nice, tho these vietnamese hotels need to pay attention to detail which they lack and fix some small things like the doors of the shower.
other than that its a good hotel.

This hotel is close to everything and closer to get to Halong City.

Great for Families, Many Chinese and Korean Travel

please read my other review on this hotel in agoda. this hotel is good. although this time of year - expect to see alot of big family tour buses with a lot of chinese and korean tourists in the hotel. good for families, but not good if you want to get away from the chaos as the many bus load of tourist make the hotel very noisy at times inclusing the pool. also its difficult to take a taxi from teh front when the buses are parked at the lobby entrance... buses should be made to stop somewhere else. plenty of space in the parking on the left. anyways... asia is asia :) hehe

This hotel is good location that you can stay. Room is big, food is good. They have western food and local food. Price is reasonable. We are having problem with them when checked out. They told us to pay for missing towels that room service reported. We spoke with manager about this problem and told them that we did not take the towels. Finally they did not charge us.

You should go through invetory check list and report missing item right away.
