hotel was lovely. we stayed at a number of hotels around vietnam and this was one of the nicest. we were even given an upgrade as we did not go in peak season. our room was very spacious, with a view of the harbour. nice bathroom with big bath.

Go to the night market - great shopping.

Spacious clean hotel with view of bay

We booked several rooms and travelled in a large group with children. Hotel is located on the quiet end of Ha Long Road, a couple kilometres to night market & "main street" (way overpriced and overrated), around 20 minutes walk or just catch a taxi for less than AUD$2. Hotel lobby is wonderfully massive with a welcoming fruit drink when you arrive at reception. A fruit basket, coffee/tea/chocolate and bottled water is complimentary in your room. Features: electronic key entry, remote control lighting/in-room radio & alarm clock, slippers, bathrobes, iron, hair dryer, huge comfortable bed with white linen and very clean bathroom with separate tub & shower... Superior King room is very spacious, plenty of room for our baby to share the bed and crawl around. There's a gym and sauna, outdoor pool and two restaurants on separate floors. We had buffet dinner at the hotel's Four Seasons Restaurant on ground floor - very decent selection of food & drinks, & buffet breakfast next day (included in booking fee) again good variety and restaurant staff were great. We spoke Vietnamese to staff so they were always helpful with our enquiries, unsure about their english so cannot comment. We suggest researching before booking tours via hotel (we were short on time so paid AUD$200 for a 4-hour private boat Ha Long Bay tour for our group, but the shifty crew ended up sneaking extra people on the upper deck). Hotel was happy to hold our luggage after check-out while we went on tour. Overall good service, clean & spacious rooms, good food, great value, relaxing atmosphere... would stay there again.

Night market overpriced - haggle hard! Research boats & prices before booking tour.

I stayed for four nights for a business trip. The room was nice. clean and spacious. The free wifi in the room is very helpful to get in touch with family back home. The only complain I made was the noise, due to construction work. Though, the staff asked the worker to stop the noise. amazing.

This hotel is a great value. Our room was large, well appointed, with a great view of the beautiful bay. The breakfast buffet has many types of delicious food, both Western and Eastern. And the restaurant on the third floor served delicious food of all types at reasonable prices.
The service was very good here. Some of the front desk staff are limited in their English language, but overall they do well.
The only downside was that the internet was slow on accessing news and on accessing our business databases. However, this may be government censorship making this slow, rather than the hotel.

Rude staff actually asking for tips. On one occasion laughing at us and saying the tip was inadequate.
We were given a room looking directly onto a building site for a new hotel next door. They accommodated our request to change. The building work was constant right through the Christmas period including Christmas day.
Christmas day menu pictured a turkey/roast beef neither of which materialized. There was a hot buffet which served exactly the same dishes 3 days running, including Christmas day. Very worrying as it gave the impression they were cooled and reheated. The hotel had low occupancy with us often being alone with just 1 other couple in the dining room. This probably explains why no change was made to the buffet.
A totally unacceptable situation occurred during a massage. We reported this to the General Manager and checked out 5 days earlier than we had booked in for.

this 4 star hotel is very nice, comfortable, clean, and the personell is very friendly.
the food was very good with an excellent choice. next time i go to halong bay i will stay at hotel and do a one day boat cruise rather then stay overnight at one of the junk boats.

the welcome drink and basket of fruit in the room give the warm and friendly touch during the stay! the room with the excellent view to the bay and the bridge at night time give you memorable moment. although the location of the hotel is not right at the town center, this give you sense of quietness and relaxation if you wish. along the shore, a good walking trek and a good place to enjoy each other. walking to the night market is only 20 minutes away. overall comment, you should have no complaint!

This is a great choice to stay in Halong Bay. My room was spacious with a great view. The food in this hotel was also great. Lots of choices at the breakfast buffet and the meal I ordered for dinner was also delicious. This hotel also has a boat for overnight cruise but unfortunately I didn't try it but from what I saw the boat looked great compared to some others.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Halong Night Market which is in walking distance offers various items for souvenir in cheap price. Try to go to the other side of the bridge to find cheap food and beer
