very colonial... best house in a bad street.
excellant service and clean and tidy.

loved this hotel... despite seeing some previous bad comments about it in other forums.
my agoda booking was their first and they were not quite sure how to manage it ... but fumbled through very graciously.
the staff were first class in every respect, even down to the reception speaking fluent french.
hotel was in various stages of being tidied up/ renovated and still showing some signs of its age but very clean and tidy in every respect.
i stayed in a suite... bedroom, lounge and a balcony with seperate bath... very spacious for asia.
the street the hotel is on is a bit daunting at first but i soon got used to that. even with the very heavy traffic of hanoi it was pleasently quite.
the bed was very firm ...which is a standard around most asian hotels ... probably did my back more good than harm.
the breakfast was very good by asians standards with all the things i like as an aussie.... as ell as a few normal vm items.
i will stay here again... there are other better hotels in the near area but the cost is quadruple and not justifiable.
easy walk and taxi access to the rest of town with the dearest taxe ride to the center lake about $3 in heavy taffic....quicker to walk the 20,minutes and a lot to look at.
Travel tip:
take the walk to town .... spend an hour to see all the little things in side streets nobody else will ever see.... do your shopping and get a taxi back. despite stories of people who have not tried it ... it was very safe even at night.... just dont be flashy and only have what you need on you..... be cautious not afraid.... pretend you know what you are doing the locals seem to take too much notice of you then.

出張で使用しました。事務所から近く便利でした。歴史のあるホテルのようで、部屋が古風でしたがきれでした。日本人の観光客が多く泊まっていたように思います。

大きな部屋で大満足
客室の作りは古いがリビングや風呂などとても大きい。

朝食は、洋食、ベトナム食、フォーガーなどが揃っており、４泊したが、飽きることはなかった。階段付近に常にメイドの人たちがいるので、盗難の恐れが低い。安心できる。エレベーターが一台しかないのが難点であり、階段の上り下りが嫌いな人は、結構大変かも知れない。
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
ホアンキエム湖まで徒歩で２０分くらいであり、比較的便利。
