professionally run boutique hotel run by very capable and warm personnel. The moment we arrived, we are immediately helped out of the taxi, the doors swing open and you arrive in a calm and soothing hotel, beautifully decorated and designed - wood interiors, black and white photos of Hanoi, clever use of space. The suite is located on the top floor and has a comfortable bed, great rainshower with window tht allows natural light in, a separate room to lounge and watch tv or enjoy the fresh fruits supplied. We spent some time at the balcony enjoying the view of the old houses in the old quarter. Personnel made it a perfect stay by offering tips on places to go to, without being pushy at all. Received great advice. The map provided by the hotel is also extremely useful to help us walk around the puzzling streets. Highly recommended!

This place is a real oasis in Hanoi. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were great and they even put baloons in for our toddler. The food is great the beds comfortable and it's great value.
Restaurant Tip:
There are some nice coffee shops by the lake. Go up the stairs and you'll have a great view.

A true find in the heart of the old quarter

This hotel was definitely a great place to stay in the Hanoi. It is right in the heart of the old quarter, but surprisingly, the rooms are very quiet, noted for those who find this important. Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. The staff spoke excellent English, were friendly, and were very helpful, ready to offer any advice on what to do and see, without trying to sell you a specific tour package. They escorted me over to the tour operator that I had booked with, instead of just showing me where it was on the map. Very genuine service. Breakfast was a great buffet, with lots of variety, and you can order eggs/pancake/etc from the menu, all included in breakfast. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take a tour with Ethnic Travel - they run a great operation with a good mission. The tour to Bai Tu Long Bay was fantastic.

Right in ther middle of the old city-wonderful staff-great food.

the staff couldn't do enough for us. they kept our bags after we checked out to go to halon bay. they gave us facilities for a shower when we came back and even sent someone with us to the station to actually put us on the right train and the right carriage. all staff friendly-great room and the best htel we stayed in-in vietnam by far.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. In the Old District the location is great - 5 minutes walk to lake. We were on the 7th floor and heard no noise from the street. The manager of the hotel helped us with all our bookings for Halong Bay and a driver in Heu. He even rang the driver while we were on the tour and asked to speak to us to make sure everything was ok. Breakfast was great with everyone keen to please. Free wifi in rooms and plenty of TV channels - even Australia network!
Restaurant Tip:
A drink at the rooftop cafe overlooking the city and lake is a nice way to end the day. DONT be sucked in by street hagglers - especially the ones wanting to fix your shoes.
