I was very pleased with everything at the hotel with the exception of the internet system.
As a business traveller I am very reliant on staying where there is a good internet system. However, the cable connection the room was inoperative, and I was advised I could access WIFI from the room. However, during my 3 days stay I had continual problems gaining access despite being provided with about 3 different user codes and passwords. The fact that the reception didn't call back at times when promised did not help matters.
The room was fine, customer service good, other than for the internet issued raised above, and even though I only had one meal in the hotel other than for breakfast I considered this also good and reasonably priced. I am working on a consulting project not far from the Fortuna Hotel, so it will be convenient for future stays over the next few months - providing the internet system is improved.
Hotel Feature Tip : Clean tipy and overall good service, with the exception mentioned above.

The Spa was great, had the best facial.
The girls at the receptionest desk were rude
Breakfast was average
All round it was a great stay, the location was great as it was away from the tourist areas. Our tour got cancelled to Halong bay due to the Typhoon and Jacob at the front desk went out of his way to reaccomadate us at the hotel. The bar was the friendliest part of the hotel with the captain Hanson always happy and smiling when we walked in.
Restaurant Tip : There is a steak and ribs restaurant right next door if you are over noodles and fried rice, be sure to go there for some great food.

I liked everything about this hotel, staff friendly, location good (without being right in the main area)services very good (bar, restaurant, gym, pool, spa etc)
The only issue with this hotel is if you book a room ask for one not on the street side as the traffic in vietnam tend to honk their horn all the time starting at 6am (however if your not on the street side you dont hear it)
This hotel is well worth the price you pay with an all aroung good experience. Location is not in the old quarter but is well positioned and a taxi is cheap to any where in Hanoi. The up side of it not being in the main area is if you go for a walk you see more of the real Hanoi and it is still a very safe area even if most of the time apart from when in the hotel you are the only caucasion in the area.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Nice lake and park area near by as well as local shops and restaurants.
