great service in a great location
great help getting us a fabulous tour in halong bay/cat ba island

we only had one day in hanoi, and the the fantastic and friendly service at the front desk helped us book a tour within a short amount of time.
gondola is in a perfect location in the old quarter that let's you walk to all the must sees and is a value for money.
it has a great rooftop bar with a great view of the city and the breakfast has an amazing variety. definitely worth the stay and we would go back.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
head to the top of the thai cafe in the evening for a drink and unique view of the crazy, urban buzz (and traffic) of hanoi.

the hotel is very new and the room is huge. the bed is very comfortable. they responded to you immediately when problems arose. the front desk manager is an angel. the hotel was fully booked after my trip from ha long bay, and she took me to another hotel of the same grade and made sure i was happy with the room before she left. their buffet breakfast is the best among the 4 different hotels i stayed in hanoi.will definitely return to this hotel.great value for superb service.
Restaurant Tip:
A few nice resturants around the corner,easy access and great food.

central location in backpacker area

brand new team running a brand new hotel; friendly service with teething problems in the center of backpackers area a few steps away from central lake. Big spacious clean rooms, our bathroom (2nd floor) had serious plumbing problems which could not be resolved during our 4 days stay. Good breakfast.

The hotel is located nearby the famous lake, only about 3 min walk. also around the hotel there are a lot of shops and eating places, all within walking distance. The hotel is small, the receptionists are very friendly. Rooms is also small but clean. Bathroom is clean with standard amenities. Free wifi is a plus. Breakfast is a disappointment, very few selection and not very good.

great service. the front desk staff, restaurant and bar staff all great. great team who went out if their way to assist with bein comfortable with early/late check ins. tips about getting around hanoi, giving us an early checkout breakfast. very impressed. keep up the good work!
Shopping Tip:
Post office around the corner, near the spectacle shops. pharmacy nearby. Hotel behind KFC. Great spot to stay!

Excellent hotel, strongly recommended. 3.5 star to 4 star standard. 3 months old but all problems ironed out, price is fantastic for what you get. Immaculate rooms.
3 mins to Hoan Kiem lake and 5 mins to Water Puppet Theatre. In the midst of Old Quarter of Hanoi but in a quiet side road, which is a big plus for Hanoi with all the usual din! Safe to walk around and come back late.
Service is warm and excellent, especially from reception, but overall very good. Their recommendations can be trusted as I had excellent experience on the Hanoi city tour, Halong Bay tour and taxi services. They pay special attention that you are pleased with their recommendations and that you are having a good time.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Go to 8th floor for a good view of the Hoan Kiem Lake and surrounding area. ATMs are around every corner but USDs are also useful as tours are quoted in USD. You can book a taxi from the airport via the hotel avoiding the hassle of finding one by yourself.
Water Puppet Theatre well worth it, US$3-5, in Dongs. Restaurant: A little Hanoi, 3 mins walk. Quan An Ngon, a bit further away, take taxi or a bit of a walk.

Pharmacy and post office close by. Enjoyed French dining at the Millenium restaurant around the corner from the Gondola Hotel. ANZ bank and ATM close by.

Lovely Hotel and Service with a smile
Large size rooms, very new (3 months) therefore everything is clean and in excellent condition. Fantastic location in Old Quarter and in a side road which is quiet.

Stayed for 3 nights in between trip to Halong Bay. Highly recommend this small hotel which is really a boutique 3-4 star hotel. New hotel but they have ironed out all problems from feedback received. Rooms are large-ish and in immaculate condition. Great location, a side-road off the main road bordering Hoan Kiem Lake, walk around old quarter easily, safe area. Since it is in a side-road, rooms are quiet which is a big plus for Hanoi.
Staff are very helpful and friendly and always anxious that you are having a good experience of Hanoi. Their recommendations can be relied upon. I had no problem at all with the bookings through the reception staff for the cruise, taxis and tours. As is normally the case, stick to the big reputable taxi companies for hassle free experience.
I did not want to mention any names but all staff were very helful, especially the ladies at the reception.
I will definitely stay there again!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Water puppet theatre is within 10 mins walk and is well worth it, cost US$3-5. A Little Hanoi restaurant is very reasonable and good, within 5 mins walk. Ask for good recommendations from reception. They will be patient with gruff foreigners and always with a disarming smile!! Walking through the Old Quarter is an experience by itself and you are right in the middle of it. ATMs are around every corner! Uncle Ho's Mausoleum and museum is worth going to.

Beautiful new hotel, friendly staff, lovely rooms
Reception girls very friendly spoke excellent English.

i loved this hotel and it is situated in an very good area in the old quarter and handy to everything i.e. shopping, the lake etc.
room decore beautiful and room was large as was the bathroom.
i also enjoyed the piped music in the hotel and complimented one of the staff on it as well.
i would stay at this hotel again and certainly recommend it to anyone staying in hanoi.
Restaurant Tip:
Would recommend lunch at the Millenium French Restaurant just around the corner 3 courses and coffee for $12.
Romance Restaurant just down the street also great Vietnamese food and cheap as.
