Overall everything is fine. Friendly staff except the breakfast staff. When we were there the first day, there were only our table (4 pax) and another table ( a couple & a baby). All the 2 waiters busy handling the baby & didn't bother to clean our plates. Even the cook left my fried egg still on the pan & went to join the other 2 waiters busy with the baby, until I had to ask where is my egg. The last day we were the only table left for breakfast. I saw all the breakfast staff taking coffee & took some breakfast from the buffet while we are still having ours. We were all amazed how this is allowed to happen in a hotel?

This hotel enjoys a great location next to the lake. The staff are friendly and strive to meet your requests, e.g. booking tours, taxis etc. Importantly, the rooms are clean and well kept. For obvious reasons, the complimentary bottled water (1 bottle per person per day)is handy.
The lighting in the bathrooms could be better.

The room was very spacious and equipped with good facilities. It has a small balcony with street view. For me the room setting was comparable with other 4/5 star hotel room. The breakfast was nice with wide variety of food to choose from. There were some minor glitches though: Sometimes it was quite difficult to unlock the bathroom's door from inside and sometimes the WiFi signals were not that good. Please improve on these.
Hotel Feature Tip:
I booked 2D1N Aclass cruise Halong bay trip through this hotel with some discounts. Overall experience was quite nice.

Yes, the Gondola was fantastic as always. A tip about the location - just around the corner on the lake, there is an ice cream shop with a small alley beside it. If you go down the alley, you will find a big two level supermarket which is great for cheap beers and snacks you can enjoy in your room before heading out in the evening. Also good if you need some toiletries - they are located on the upper level.

My friend and I just arrived in Hanoi at 5am. Thus we need an early check in at about 7-8am after having breakfast. Usually hotel will charge an early check in fee. However Gondola hotel has waived it for me, thus this will mean that we can get a good rest earlier. This is so nice of them. Not only that, they have upgraded our room as well just because we have requested for two twin beds as their superior room does not have twin beds type. Their service is really good, they have very friendly and caring staff who will help us in whatever we need.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There is a go around Hanoi old quarters service near the Hoan kiem if you don't want to risk your life crossing Hanoi roads.
