Good budget hotel right in the old quarter

Only breakfast provided. Lunch and dinner not served in the hotel. However excellent dining areas can be found on the same street. We had both lunch and dinner at the street stalls outside the hotel. Location is just north of the lake in the old quarter right in the street selling jewellery.

Felt cheated,not honest. The receptionist was deceiving about the day tours to Tam Coc.
Just go all the way out to suck you if they can.
When we were with the rest of the tour group, we found that we paid the highest price.

The location was on one of the quieter streets of the old town and the staff could not be more helpful for directions, restaurant recommendations and tours. They sorted everything out for us including an amazing trip to ha long (we went on the Fantasea boat and loved it) and over night bus to Hue. We arrived at the hotel at 8am but despite this our room was ready and we were given a free breakfast.

The hotel rooms are very sharpen and old, quite small and uncomfortable even we chosen superior type. But it was just a room on 4th floor 10-12 m2 with no windows.

My Mom and I stayed a few nights here and found the Staff extremely friendly and helpful and always took initiative in offering service or greeting us. Location wise was excellent. Right smack in the middle of Hang Bac (Street of Gold and Silver) which is located near the Hoan Kiem Lake and just a few minutes walk to other interesting streets and shops in Old Quarter. Moreover, being close to many gold shops makes it convenient to exchange cash. Breakfast was okay, serving is huge. Room was clean and comfy. Only downside to this hotel would be the beds..you can feel the springs stabbing at your back. Otherwise, a great hotel to stay at an affordable price.

Extremely helpful! Provided warm hospitality. My Mom and I arrived at the Train Station at night when it was pretty dark but motorbike drivers where there to pick us up. The best part is that Kim Lien offered complimentary transfer when we contacted them before our trip! We arrived and were showed to our room which was clean and comfortable. Beds were very soft and comfy. The guest house provides good breakfast and extensive tours with good and friendly drivers. When we departed on our motorbike tour the next morning, the driver even took us to the bank to exchange money and the train station to get tickets for our trip to Hanoi the following day. After the trip he took us to a local shop to get coffee when we mention we wanted some!! Location is pretty good and accessible. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Really great experience. This hotel isn't #1 in its area on TA for no reason.

it was comfortable ,i arrive late in the morning paid 18usd for the airport hotel transport. .and in the morning you can pay for the tour going to halong bay for 28usd,citytour28usd,tam coc 28usd...the breakfast was not great.you can walk to lake.

I stayed in a room above the reception area this time and the noise flowed upwards when the phone rang or someone checked in, so try to get one of the rooms at the rear of the breakfast area if you can. They took longer than promised to return my one item of laundry, so I had to wait at check out, but the staff were overall very friendly and the room was comfortable (although the mattress was a bit hard for my liking).
