Top rate service from all the staff and cleanliness.
Breakfast was very good, freshly cooked to order, Western and Oriental choice.
Room quite small but did not detract from our enjoyment of the hotel
The Hanoi Elegance Hotel 4, is well situated in the old quarter of Hanoi, within walking distance of numerous attractions restaurants etc. It is also possible to stroll the couple of miles to Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and the French quarter. It will be our first choice of Hotel on our next visit to Hanoi.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There was a beautiful lake within walking distance of the hotel, where the locals would do early morning exercises, or a little fishing it was good to see and experience the different culture.

The staff was very helpful and eager. In addition they were some of the best English speakers at any hotel I stayed in Vietnam -- including some of the most upmarket offerings in Hanoi, Hue, and Hoi An. This was very helpful when there was a problem with the cruise we were connecting to.
There were some problems with the hotel computer in our room. We were however able to use the two free computers in the lobby. The entrance is a little funky-- off the alley and probably not for everyone, but it felt very safe and clean.
The hotel delivered exactly what was advertised. It's a good location in the old quarter. The staff was immensely helpful. The lobby and rooms were clean and stylish. It is an excellent budget hotel. There certainly are finer hotels in Hanoi, but for the price this hotel is a wonderful value. This is a great place for anyone who needs a place to crash while in transit to Sapa or Halong Bay and for anyone who is going to spend most of their time out and about while in Hanoi.

this hotel is in a very convenient location walking distance to all attractions,staff are so helpful they speak good english and happy to organise anything for you, they even bought us tickets to a show and organised a half a day tour for us, rooms are very clean and decorated nicely.
Restaurant Tip : Nice and classy restaurant called green Mandarine nearby
